Haunted memories occupied my sleepless mind, vivid flashbacks interrupted my every thought, and lucid visions of Michael invaded my vigorous attempt to forget what had happened between the both of us.

I'd grunt or groan, and pull onto the roots of my hair in fury that my brain wouldn't erase my crimes. Then I'd wonder why my mind made me relive the moment in the worst circumstances; being in math class, and thinking of Michael's warm breath against my skin, his soft, pink lips moving so swiftly along with mine, and his loose hair between my fingertips.

Alicia, my mind would remind me of my wrong doings, and I'd be back to regretting every single moment, minute, and second of that day.

I was never one to want to rebel, or cause drama. I was the calm friend, the grounded friend, the friend people would come up to in order to seek advice. My life was, overall, quite boring.

I was good, I rarely broke the rules, or did something regretful, until now; though now is different, because every minute of my day is full of the feeling of regret, guilt, and sorrow.

"I messed up" Violet called out to Jessa and I the second she walked through the door, closing it shut behind her, and turning to bang her head various times on the surface.

"What happened?" Jessa asked, her voice being muffled by the spoonful of chocolate frosting in her mouth.

Violet sighed heavily, practically dragging herself towards us, and dropping herself on the couch, and we could already tell it's been a long day for all of us.

Violet covered her face as she slouched on the couch, and replied, "Ashton thinks I fancy someone else" she muttered, having Jessa and I look at each other confusingly.

"How's that your fault?" I asked, watching as she inhaled deeply.

"I—might have—told him I fancied Luke" she said slowly, clenching her eyes shut as she waited for our reaction.

Jessa and I both yelled out her name, throwing various pillows at her until we received some sort of reasoning as to how this happened.

"I reacted off of instinct" she said, "My instinct happened to have told me to lie"

"Out of all the people, why did you choose the guy I like?!" Jessa exclaimed, having Violet and I widen our eyes to each other, and holler in amusement.

"She admitted it" I called out, standing on the couch, and began to jump on the cushions, and within every hop I'd exclaim a word, "SHE—FINALLY—ADMITTED—IT"

"It was the first name to come to mind" Violet answered Jessa's question, "You know how I get under pressure" her voice gradually got higher in pitch.

"Why couldn't you use Michael?" Jessa complained, having my joyous jumping come to an immediate stop at the mention of the name.

I slowly sat back down, swallowing harshly at the topic I knew was inevitable to bring up.

"Because Michael has a girlfriend" Violet told us, "Also, he knows Alicia, I can't crush on my best friend's boyfriend"

My heart began to race, feeling the sweat begin to collect on my palms, I looked down to avoid the possibility of breaking, and telling them everything.

"What am I going to do?" Violet exclaimed, kicking her feet back and forth in frustration after bringing a pillow straight to her face.

"Don't worry" Jessa began, "Jules and I will try to help"
