Lucy's POV
Present Day
I left my spot at the bar and headed over to the request board. Rent was coming up soon and I needed a job. One in particular caught my eye.
All I have to do is kill a few low-level monsters and I'll get payed two months rent. Plus it's on a secluded island so there is no chance of me running into any of my old teammates. This may even convince the guild that I'm not as weak as they think I am.
I grabbed the flyer and walked over to Mira.
"I want this job." I said, confidently.
As she looked at the request I could see her face growing heavy with worry.
"Are you sure Lucy? You don't have a team anymore and this looks pretty diffi- "
"I'm not as pathetic as everyone thinks I am Mira!" I snapped.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean..." I started.
"Don't worry about it." She said as she stamped the paper.
She handed it back to me and told me to be careful. As soon as the flyer was back in my hands, I left the guild and headed for the train station.
Finally, my chance to show everyone that I'm not weak. I'll show them. I'll show them all. And it will be all thanks to you, Natsu Dragneel.
