Griffon's POV
I woke up, and for the first time in a while, I felt strong enough to stand on my own. I hopped out of bed, and slowly began to walk around. As I became more comfortable with my own legs, I picked up the pace. Before long, I was running and jumping around the large room I had been staying in.
This is amazing!
When I calmed down a bit, I noticed three doors in the room. One, was a crystal, double door, which I assumed attached to a hallway. The second, was an elegant, cream-colored door that seemed to lead to a closet. The third door, was also cream-colored, however this door had the letters, WC, carved on it.
WC? Whacking Crystal? Watery Cream? Waking Crab?
I shrugged and opened the door. Behind it was a large, elegant, crystal bathroom, adorned with luxury sinks and a fancy looking toilet. Behind a sliding glass door was a large shower, and next to it, the biggest bath tub I had ever seen.
Wow. Wait. WC... Wash Closet! Of corse you moron.
After taking a nice, long, hot shower, I grabbed a towel and was surprised by its warmth.
No way. Is that... A TOWEL WARMER?!?!
I stood and admired the masterpiece created to heat towels for far to long. Rubbing the towel over my head to dry my hair, I walked out of the bathroom.
I marched over to the other milky colored door.
Please be the closest and not the hall, please be the closest and not the hall.
I opened the door cautiously, with my eyes closed, expecting to hear the sound of a woman's screams. When I heard nothing, I opened one eye, and then the next. Relief flooded over me as I saw that the room I front of me was indeed, a closet.
Thank goodness...
As I entered the room full of clothing, I was amazed at the extent of the closet. It was much larger than I had originally thought it to be. I let out a low whistle. There was clothing of all shapes, sizes, colors, and styles. I was completely overwhelmed. I grabbed the first shirt I saw, which happened to be a lose white button down. I saw a pair of black dress pants and grabbed those too. I got dressed quickly. As I started to exit the closet, something caught my eye.
So pink, so fluffy.
I ran over and grabbed the pink softness right off the shelf. I placed the soft objects on my feet and walked over to a mirror.
I am so rocking these pink bunny slippers!
I walked out of the large closet and shut the door. Walking over to the window, I glanced at the pumpkin colored sky. I found myself staring at it for several minutes. My concentration was broke when I heard a light giggle from behind me.
As I spun around, I saw a girl, leaning up against the wall, covering her mouth. She wore a black, glossy tank top with small symbols covering the upper right and lower left corners of her shirt. Her pleated, mid- thigh, skirt seemed to be made out of the same material. She also had some sort of whip, and a set of keys strapped to her dark belt. Her long blonde hair was braided, reaching down to her lower back. She had a black ribbon tied both on the top and bottom of the tight braid. Her chocolate eyes seemed to smile all on there own.
I felt myself shake from adrenaline and pure shock. She must have sensed my unease, because she lowered her hand, and smiled. It was one of the most beautiful smiles I had ever seen.
Stupid! There is a strange girl in your room!
Snapping back to reality, I did something I hadn't done in a while. I spoke.
"W-who are you?" I asked, surprised at the sound of my own scratchy, unused voice.
"I'm Lucy." She said tilting her head slightly.
Lucy. Where have I heard that name before?
I suddenly remembered.
Two weeks ago...
"It's okay, Lucy will take good care of you." Gray told me.
I was about to give him a questioning glance when we heard someone clear their throat behind us.
Gray spun around quickly and I followed his motions, turning around as fast as I could. I had no idea who we were meeting, but Gray never took me away from home, so I was frightened when he said we were meeting a friend.
I felt Gray's grip on me tighten as we turned and face two people, neither of which had matched the description Gray had given me of Lucy. One had long, wavy brown hair and soft blue eyes. The other had a white pixie cut and bright red eyes. They both wore black cloaks, and had the same red gem hanging from identical silver chains, around their necks.
"Who are you?" Gray demanded.
"Who do you think?" The red eyed one said.
"Lucy?" Gray asked.
The girl nodded.
Present day
The girl that stood before me looked nothing like the white haired girl had.
"I was wearing an amulet when you met me two weeks ago. That's why I look different. This is how I usually look." She said, gesturing to herself.
"How did you..." I started
"Know what you were thinking?" She finished. "I would probably be wondering the same thing too. That and I'm learning telepathy magic, so I could kinda read your mind." She said.
"Oh." I replied, feeling like an idiot.
"Well dinner is gonna be soon if your feeling up to it." She said, moving towards the door.
"Okay." I said, as my belly gurgled a little.
She giggled a little and said, "I'll take that as a yes. See you soon." She said, exiting my room.
She grabbed the door before it completely closed.
"And Griffon, I'm glad to see your feeling better."
Me too.
