I feel like my writing reflects what I'm feeling
If it's a sad chapter then something's wrong (which is why like all of the chapters in all of my books are sad)
If it's happy I either forced myself to make a happy chapter or I'm truly happy
Another thing: I feel like the reason most of my books are sad is because I don't like happy books. I guess I feel like they aren't realistic. Things aren't always fun and games. In fact, I bet every single one of you reading this has experienced at least one hardship in your lifetime. It doesn't matter if it was your fish dying, that's still a hardship if you really cared for that fish. Harry Potter didn't defeat Voldemort without having pretty much everything and everyone he loved murdered (no spoilers :P).
