Crazy Day

When I say "crazy day", I mean it literally. Have you ever been stuck in a gymnasium with 24 kids who are all hyper from eating a lot of candy? Well, if you have, then you would know what I mean.

Last night was Crazy Day with my musical theater group. Crazy Day is the annual lock-in Showstoppers holds. There, you learn who your Broadway Buddy is, eat tons of sugar, and basically run around in a gymnasium all night.

You are supposed to arrive at the Recreation Center at 5:00. From 5:00 to 6:30, we have rehearsal. We practiced for our performance next week. After that was dinner (pizza, soda, the usual). Then, we were released into the gym where we would spend the rest of the night. Ms. Leslie, our teacher, assigned our Broadway Buddies. Broadway Buddies are basically someone older or younger than you that you give gifts and crap on holidays. But that's beside the point. We played two games to get to know our buddies. After that, we were allowed to run wild in the gym for several hours until lights out.

The O family was started, and everyone now has a nickname. I don't remember half of them, but that's okay. I am Avocado, and my wife is Honey Buns. Pretty much everyone else has a name that ends in "O". Everyone else is our children. I will try to name some of them for you:

1. Potato
2. Tomato
3. Frito
4. Cheeto
5. Dorito
6. Mango
7. Burrito
8. Cheerio
9. Fro-yo
10. Taco

Aaannndddd, that's all I can remember. There were more, believe me, but I honestly forgot. Anyway, the O family had some hardships. Apparently, everyone thinks I'm cheating on Honey Buns with Adam Levine. Yeah, no. Then, at midnight, lights out happened, and Ms. Leslie turned out the lights. No one went to sleep, of course, and many of us stayed awake until 2 am. Everyone was in their own little group. My group happened to be the one who stayed up the latest, but that's okay.

At about 2, the younger kids thought they saw a man outside. They woke up Ms. Leslie, who assured them that there was no man. Then, they proceeded to whisper frantically to each other until the older kids (a.k.a. ME) told them to shut it. Finally, at 2:30, I was able to sleep.

So, there you have it. My Crazy Day adventures, summarized and written down for you all.
