It had been a day since he last saw Aphmau. She seemed off. He decided he would go check on her. When Laurence got to Aphmau's house and let himself inside. "Laur Laur!" Levin squealed. He ran to Laurence and hugged his legs, because he was too short to reach higher. "Hi Levin,"
Laurence said picking him up. "Hi Laurence!" Malachi said with his nose buried in a book. "Hi Malachi." Laurence smiled. Levin started squirming, so Laurence put him down before he dropped him. "I'm gonna go say hi to your mom." Laurence said, and dismissed himself. As he put his foot on the first step, he heard Zoey scream. "OH NO! APHMAU!!" Laurence ran upstairs and burst into the room. Zoey was holding Aphmau's neck and muttering something that Laurence couldn't hear. Aphmau was laying on the floor and was pale as heck. Particles were floating around her, and she had a purplish-blackish matter around her eye, and streaking down her cheek.... Almost like the kind that had infected the fifteen years ago! Oh no... Laurance mumbled. He dropped to his knees beside Zoey. "What happened!?" He asked, clearly holding back tears. "I-I don't know..! I was coming in to ask her how she was, and I found her here on the floor! With ...that... On her face!" Zoey said, flustered. Laurence and Zoey both jerked their heads up and stared at each other. "You felt it too..." Laurence said. "I did.. But I didn't think a thing of it.." Zoey sighed. Laurence realized he was in shadowknight form. "Oops.. Sorry Zoey! That happens around dark magicks. Quick, we need to get Aphmau somewhere safe... Away from the house?" Laurence said awkwardly. "At least away from the presence," Zoey said. "Where though?" Laurence asked. "New Meteli?" Zoey suggested. "Meh, sure. We need to get the others... Everyone. I think Phoenix Drop might be under a threat.." Laurence frowned. Laurence picked up Aphmau, while Zoey got a bag and packed Aphmau some clothes for the journey. "I need to pack some stuff for the boys'." Zoey said. She rushed into the boys' room, and returned three minutes later with two small backpacks. "Levin! Malachi! Come here! W- we are going on a... Trip! Come on! I have your bags packed! Please... We need to hurry!!" Zoey yelled with worry in her eyes. The two boys came upstairs really fast looking excited. "Where?" Malachi asked. "Meteli." She replied. "Yay! We get to see aunt Cadenza!" Levin said excitedly. "Wait- aunt..?" Laurence looked stunned. "It's just what they call her- think nothing of it!" Zoey said. She instructed the boys to put the backpacks on and to grab their pillows. Laurence readjusted Aphmau in his arms and hurried downstairs with Zoey, Malachi, and Levin in tow. Within thirty minutes, the entire safe hold was in one big group, with their belongings. Half of the safe hold were going to Bright Port, the other half to New Meteli. They planned it that way so that Meteli wouldn't be overwhelmed with villagers. "Dante, do you want to go with the half going to Bright Port?" Laurence asked him. "Uh.. Sure." He replied. "Okay. Only come back- you know what, I'll send you a message with Logan's crow if it's safe to come back." Laurence said. "Everyone, let's go." Laurence said. "Goodbye Laurence~Kun!" Kawaii~Chan waved. Laurence waved back, and then set off with the first half of the safe hold, and Aphmau in his arms. "Goodbye, Phoenix Drop.." Laurence sighed.
