Garroth's POV
-=+=-

I wake up on a bed and jump. I have no clue where I am. I look around and I see three people talking on the other side of the bed, and an armor stand loaded up with armor and a diamond sword. It looks familiar for some reason... "Hehe.. How do you know he wasn't going to kiss you?" one of the people ask. The other two stare at her in disbelief. Many feelings overwhelm me. I have mixed emotions, but the clearest one is that I feel terrified. I have no idea who these people are... And now that I think of it.. Who... am I? I get a sick feeling. The man notices me. I look at him and the girls turn around and look at me. They seem cautious. I feel scared, so I back up to the wall and cling to it. "It's okay Garroth, calm down.." one of the girls says, looking at me. I look at her confused, then I say, "W-who is this Garroth!?" they stare at me and look even more confused than I. I look the man in the eye and get an odd feeling. More than just like this irking feeling that I know him from some where... But like I was meant to hurt him.. I don't know. It feels really weird. I snap back into reality when he falls to the floor and passes out. The girls shriek and bend down to him. I sink down against the wall and burry my head into my hands. I feel seriously overwhelmed. I have no idea what's going on and I.. I just feel like crying like a little kid who just lost their parents at a theme park. (Aka: Didney Wurld!) "W-where am I.." I whisper hoarsely. I hear someone's footsteps near me. I jump and look up. One of the girls are coming near me. I scoot closer to the corner of the room, shaking. "P-please... Do-don't hurt m-me..." I whisper with a tinge of fear in my voice. She touches my arm and I am shaking with fear. I look up slowly and she is looking at me with worry in her eyes. "Garroth... What happened to you?" she says. "A-am I G-Garroth?" I ask quietly. She takes hold of my hand and I tense. She nods. She grips my hand and I tense. She looks like she's trying to trigger something. "Darn it!" she says and stands back up. "Your powers aren't working, are they?" the other girl asks, pulling the man onto the bed. "Not at the moment." the girl replies. "You obviously don't remember us then. I..... I am Aphmau, and this is Cadenza. The guy who just passed out is Laurence." Aphmau said. "Speaking of which, he did stay up for quite a while last night I think.. I saw him at about three in the morning when he was about to go to bed." Cadenza said. "Whoa! We stayed up that long?" Aphmau said. "...What?!" Cadenza said and spun around. "Uh... H-he j-just visited me for a while in my tent.. Apparently I fell asleep.. So yeah." Aphmau sputtered. Cadenza glared at her and giggled.  Aphmau giggled awkwardly while I just stared at them. I got to my knees, and slowly stood up. "S-so.. W-where exactly are we?" I ask cautiously. These people seem friendly but I sill don't know if I trust them. "Meteli." Cadenza said. "I'm the lord's daughter. Laurence is my adoptive brother, which makes him the lord's son." Cadenza says putting a blanket on Laurence. He shifts but doesn't wake up. She kisses him on the forehead and looks like she is about to tear up. Aphmau rubs her shoulder. "He'll be okay." "He looks just like he did when he.. turned.." she muttered. "His face was paler.. His eyes were red instead of blue.. even his hair had a red tinge.." Cadenza said, with a tear making its way down her cheek. "Stop it.. You'll just make yourself break down." Aphmau said. Cadenza hugged Aphmau and started crying into her sleeve. Aphmau hugged her back. I walked over to the girls and put my hand on Cadenza's shoulder. She flinched but didn't care. She stopped crying and looked up at me. I smiled, but then Cadenza suddenly started hugging me... "..." I said and had a confused expression on my face. She stepped back and looked like she had just dumped a load off. "Sh-should we?" Cadenza asked. Aphmau nodded and got a few small binding ropes. "Huh!? Wh-what are you doing to Laurence?" I ask as they bind his wrists and ankles to the bed. "He... We don't want him to... turn... on us and slaughter everyone in the village. Because when he turns back, he will kill himself with guilt." Aphmau said turning to me. She sat down on the bed beside him. Cadenza sat at the foot of the bed and rubbed Laurence's leg. "I feel like this is my fault?" I said. "Well... Possibly yes and no." Aphmau said. "So what is wrong with him?" I ask. There is a long pause and Cadenza finally answers me. "M-my brother is a partial Shadowknight. He's only turned one other time... Ever since, any time he looks like this... We have to bind him down.. Because we don't want anyone to get killed.." she said. "Wh-what?! H-how can you be so calm about that!?!" I ask. I may have been a little too forward but I don't care. A man that can loose control and slaughter people is a big freaking deal. "IT WASN'T HIS FAULT HE BECAME A SHADOWKNIGHT! HE GOT TRAPPED IN THE NETHER!" Cadenza yells, loosing her cool. Aphmau calms her down. Now Cadenza is in tears again. "I-I just want my old brother back..." she mutters. "I- er... I'm sorry." I say. After a few minutes something scary happened. We saw another side of Laurence.. A side that no-one should see.
