Part 10- A Bad Side of Laurence

Yep. I named this chapter. I just wanted to name this because... I might start naming chapters now. I'll start naming them if I have good names for it, otherwise it'll just be: Part #! Ok. Hope you guys like this chapter! Also, Wow @shanedawsonrules ! (sorry if I spelled the 'Dawson' wrong!) I published part 9 like... right before I started writing this chapter, and you already voted and read it! That, my friends, is an example of a very loyal reader! Hehe, every single one of you guys are awesome no matter what though. I was just giving a bit of a shout out to shane. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter! :) (Warning: This Chapter Has a few gruesome parts. Aka, a really bloody fight.)

----Laurence's POV----

"Heh, you are such a weak man, Laurence. You couldn't even hurt a fly if you tried!" Sasha says, pointing her dagger at me. "....Sasha, you used to be good... Why? Why did you become one of them?" I say. Sasha looked at me with her cold, sparkling amethyst-colored eyes. "You already know why. You were a traitor. You left me for dead! But Gene.. He was an understanding pers-" "NO HE ISN'T! WE DIDN'T LEAVE YOU FOR DEAD, YOU DIED IN THE LAVA BELOW THE BRIDGE, YOU IDIOT! GENE IS A LIAR!" I yell. She steps back and claps like a Gothic person. (No Racism whatsoever, just talking about the Goth Clap thingy..) I feel like killing someone right now.. Like a bloodthirsty rage. I realize that the chains I was bound to had snapped, and were dangling from my wrists. I apparently changed form again, which had happened one other time before... It was a really, really horrifying day. My eyes widened as my personality changed from kind and harmless to murderous and bloodthirsty. All I could do was see myself in the back of my mind as my shadowknight instincts took over. There were about ten shadowknights behind me and five surrounding Sasha. All fifteen shadowknights got ready to fight me. "YOU MORONS WANNA GO?! COME AT ME!" I yell. In the back of my mind I am screaming, "STOP THIS! LAURENCE, STOP!" a few of the shadowknights try to stab me from behind, but I spin around and slaughter them all. Sasha and the rest of her men are slowly backing up. I gain on them and the front men run up to me, exposing Sasha. They swing their swords at me and one barely grazed my arm. "GAH!" I yell in the back of my mind. I am barely affected by that blow, so I stab one of them, and I kick the other two to the ground. I stand over them, and laugh maniacally. I stab them both one after the other and admire my blood-stained sword. All the men around Sasha try to strike at me, but I swing my sword in a circle around myself and slash them all in the stomach. They drop to the ground and yell in pain. I laugh without remorse and get ready to deliver my final blow. Suddenly Sasha runs up from behind and jumps onto me, pinning me to the ground. "You idiot, I am stronger than that." she says. She pulls out her dagger and tries to stab me. I jerk myself over and roll out of the way. Sasha ends up stabbing herself in the leg. "GAHHH! Y-YOU SON OF A..." she yells. I stab those other shadowknights that I got rudely interrupted from, and I stand over Sasha, laughing. "Who's weak NOW?" I say. "STOP THIS NOW!" I scream in the back of my mind. Suddenly I black out.

Aphmau's POV

Laurence is yelling in his sleep and he is in shadowknight form. Cadenza runs downstairs and tells the innkeeper to evacuate the tavern. "Who's weak NOW?!" he yells and struggles against the ropes. Me and Garroth both are armed and standing near the door, in case we need to make a run for it. We hear the other people running downstairs and Cadenza guiding them down the hall. Once everyone else had left, Cadenza runs to the door and says, "I need to tell father!" then she runs downstairs. Laurence's eyes blink open and he looks dangerous. He jerks his wrists in an upward direction and the ropes snap like a twig. "Wh-what?! THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED!" I scream. I back up and hold my sword in front of me. "YOU ALL WILL DIE!" Laurence yells and laughs. "LAURENCE STOP! STOP IT NOW!" I scream. He swings his sword at us. I am amazed at what Garroth does next. He doges every blow and grazes Laurence's back like an experienced swordsman. Laurence yells and tries to stab Garroth. Garroth blocks it with his sword and tells me to run. "No! I won't leave you alone!" While I quickly argue with Garroth, Laurence takes advantage of my distraction. He strikes Garroth and Garroth drops to his knees, and yells. I shriek and look up at Laurence. He has absolutely no remorse in his eyes and looks like he can't wait for more. He smirks at me and ready's himself to stab me. I back up to the wall and he corners me. "This is where you die." he says. "Laurence! Stop... This isn't' the Laurence I know! He wouldn't kill the innocent! STOP THIS NOW!" I scream. "Oh, sweetie. This, is just the side of me that YOU'VE NEVER MET!" he says. He is about to stab me and I stop him. My lips press against his and he sighs. I grab his hand and make him drop his sword. I grab his shirt and pull him in closer. A flash of light fills the room and Laurence gets shorter to my level and his shadowknight armor and sword disappear. He becomes very weak and nearly falls down. I catch him and am surprised by how light he is. He is covered in cuts and bruises. His clothes are dirty and he looks like he just got run over by a bus. His arm has a deep cut like someone had slashed him. Then I remember that he probably has a long slash on his back from where Garroth struck him. His eyes flutter shut and he goes limp. I slowly lay him down on the ground and I kneel down to Garroth. He is holding his rib, and has a tear down his cheek. "G-Garroth! Are you okay!?" I ask. He removes his hands and they are covered in blood. He has a hole in his shirt and a deep wound in his side. I tear up and scream. Suddenly Cadenza and Lord Hayden run into the room. Cadenza shrieks at us and starts freaking out about Laurence. "W-what happened?!?!?" she shrieks. "He's fine, but Garroth isn't! Help!" I say. Hayden bends down to his knees and looks at Garroth's injury. "Cadenza, go get a healer. Quick! We may not have enough time!" he says. Cadenza nods and runs out of the room. I hug Garroth in tears and he winces. I don't let go. "Ga-Garroth... I'm so sorry..." I whisper. The three of us are blinded by a bright light and Garroth gasps. I stop hugging him and look up. His wound was gone. He still had the hole in his shirt, but he was healed. "Wh-what just happened?" I say. Garroth looks starstruck. "I- ...I can remember..." he mutters. I gasp and hug him. "Aphmau... When did you have magicks?" Hayden asks. "I... I don't know. It just sort of happened." I say. "...I can remember... Why I tried to... hurt Laurence..." he mumbles. We stare at him in disbelief as he explains. "...I had a dream.. I heard a voice.. It was shrieks and hisses.. But I could understand what the voice said. " He started. "It... It threatened to find me and kill all of us... That's why I freaked out that day and ran off... It also said that I would remember nothing if I doubted it... And I did." he mumbled. "It... It's like the voice... controlled me.. I could only see myself in the back of my mind. My body was... I could no longer control my body. That's why I pulled Laurence behind the building. I think it was trying to make me... kill Laurence.." he said. "It... wasn't just about you, Aph. The voice... I think it controlled what I said when I argued with Laurence, then when I ran out.. I could control myself for a bit... Then I couldn't again. When I tried to kill Laurence... I woke up and I couldn't remember a thing... That's what I got for doubting the voice." he said. "I.. I actually think that Ru'aun is under a threat.." I say at last. Hayden looks worried. "I do too.. There have been a few incidents like that lately here in Meteli before you all got here." he said. "Should we tell Lord Von'Ronsenburg and Ro'meave by wyvern?" Hayden suggested. "You.. You don't need to tell my father. He can fend for himself..." Garroth growled. "...You're Garroth Ro'meave?!" Hayden said, surprised. Garroth's eyes widened. "Uh... er.. I said nothing." Garroth said. "It's about time we found out what happened to GARROTH RO'MEAVE, WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO MARRY NICOLE VON'RONSENBURG, MR." Hayden said and raised his voice. We hear gasps from the hallway and Cadenza burst into the room. "I got a nurse! Wait.. GARROTH RO'MEAVE?!?" Cadenza shrieked. "YOU.... YOU'RE ALIVE!?" she said. "No-one was supposed to know about my past." Garroth mumbled. (This is a terrible inside joke:) "So you're gonna be like Aaron, who got stabbed by my friend Lauren and her friends multiple times? Because he never wanted anyone to know about his past.." I said. "..Who is Aaron?" Garroth and Cadenza ask at the same time. "No-one.." I said giggling. They shrugged. "Laurence!" I say. We kneel down by Laurence and find where he needs tended to the most. The nurse helped us and I tried something. I grip his hand, and wait a few seconds. I was about to give up right as a bright, blinding light filled the room. Laurence slowly opens his eyes. We all gasp and he is about to say something, but I surprise him with a kiss on the lips. I pull back and blush. "I love you... Laurence." I whisper into his ear. He hugs me. "I'm so sorry..." he says. I realize that a tear had made its way down his cheek. I hug him back and Cadenza has this face like, "AWWW MY SHIP IS HAPPENING AND IT'S SO KAWAII!" I giggle and hear Garroth mumble behind us. "So... You guys are now a thing. Aren't you?" Garroth says, clearly annoyed. "Yep, and no regrets!" I say and pull Laurence closer to me again, and I press my lips against his. Cadenza is jumping around the room trying not to scream. I think Hayden is just happy to see that his Casanova son just scored big time. The nurse says goodbye to Hayden and leaves. We pull back and hug. Cadenza is jumping around the room and squealing. We all start laughing and she stops jumping and laughs with us.
Suddenly Lord Hayden and Garroth both fall to the floor. They black out, and we hear screams from around the village. "What's going on!?" I say. Laurence and Cadenza are really confused. We all know something. "Okay, that's a dark presence. Worse than what we felt in Phoenix Drop." Laurence said.  (I left Zoey, Levin, and Malachi out a little so here.) Zoey sees us near the balcony and yells to us. She is standing in the middle of the street with Levin and Malachi behind her. The boys are fine but Zoey looks worried. "We can't evacuate, but we need to do something, now!" she said. "I.. I know a person who might be able to help us!" I say. "I need Raven now." I say. Luckily, Garroth had brought Raven with him, and so Raven was roaming around the village. I go out to the balcony and yell. "RAVEN! WHERE ARE YOU?" Suddenly I hear quiet flapping, and Raven lands on the rail by my arm. "You called?" he said. "Raven, I need you to take a note to a witch named Lucinda." He nods and looks at me, waiting for me to give it to him. "Let me write it real quick."

We are in Meteli. We need you... Because bad things are happening
and we don't know what. Please try to get here soon!

I roll the note up and give it to Raven. He unfolds his wings and flies off. "Please get here soon..." I mumble. "We need to get them on the beds though." I say. Laurence helps me and Cadenza drag Garroth and Hayden onto the first bed. "I.. I'll stay here with them. You guys can have the room beside this one. We nod and Laurence hugs Cadenza. We come out of the room and shut the door. We go to the room Cadenza told us we could have. Laurence opens the door for me and I go inside. I sit down on the bed and lay down. Laurence just slams his face into the pillow. I giggle and he just answers, "Comfy pillow..." in a muffled voice. After a couple minutes we're both cuddled up and snoring.
