Calliope Jane Edwards

I checked myself out one more time in the mirror. My dress, designed by Sophia, defined the elegance of black for a professional dinner with a future investor or anything to deal with Sophia's company.

"If I were older to you, I would probably say that the dress is a bit revealing." I heard my sister comment. I turn to her and she continued to eat her bowl of ice cream. "It's just the shoulders, Dani." I say and reach for my mascara and started to apply it on my eyelashes.

"Shoulders are enough to turn Samuel on and you that, Callie." I sigh.

"You're taking a lot of stress, sweetie. It's not a date, he is not picking me up. I'm going to meet him, discuss business, have dinner and I'll be back home." I walk over to her with a smile and took a small spoon of the ice cream.

"Tell me though, you haven't spoken of Harry for a while." I walked into  the living room.

"Clearly you haven't noticed. He was in Scotland for the weekend, he arrived today." She tells me.

"Well that's good news, why don't you meet up with him and have a quick date. It should keep your mind off about my professional dinner." I turn to her, she let out a sigh.

"Callie, I'm worried about it because you're not in the state to go out with a guy, especially since he's known as a player." She looked at me with concern.

"I'm fine Dani." I reassure again.

I grab my car keys and my clutch bag and opened the door of my apartment. Dani kept the bowl in the sink, filled it with water and then placed it in the dishwasher. She walked out of the door, I did the same and then locked the door.

We took the elevator and went down. The double door opened and we stepped out. I greet the doorman and I stepped out.

"Have a good dinner." Dani tells me before she gave me a hug. "You have a good evening as well." I tell her as I hugged her back.

Once we were done hugging, I pull away and got into my car. I drive out of the parking spot, Dani stood there on the pavement, I gave her a quick wave, she waved back and then I drove away.

I might have been cool about this dinner but I was equally nervous. Samuel and I met in my masters years, we weren't in the same class but he's made advances to get me but luckily I was in a relationship and Harry and Louis kept watch on all the guys around me.

He didn't complete his program and dropped out after a year. He flew back to Florida (his hometown) and continued his modelling career. Through the years, he started up his own company along with his father, for men's fashion. It's doing pretty good but Samuel had his reputation made before he even started his fashion line.

We then met about two years back at a party. He was drunk and he flirted and tried his best to into my pants. By the end of the night, all he got was a slap across his face.

I stopped in front of the restaurant and the valet boy came over and opened the door for me. I thank him, I hand him the car keys and I walked to the entrance of the restaurant.

"Reservation for Calliope Edwards." I inform the man by the door. The man looked down at the book in front of him and nodded his head.

"Your guest arrived a few minutes back." he tells me.

I quickly looked at my watch, just to check if I was late. I was on time.

I thank the man and I was escorted by one of the waiters to my table. As I approached, I saw him sitting at the table. I thanked the waiter and I greet Samuel before I take my seat.
