Calliope Jane Edwards
Surprise?
More than a surprise!
Would I categories it as good?
I do not know.
"Sam!" I exclaim, he closed the door behind him and walks towards me. I got up and came away from my desk to greet him. He pulls me into a hug, I hug him back and saw Louis looking at us.
"I surprised you, didn't I?" He looks at me when we were done with our hug, I nod with a smile. I hear Louis cough which made Samuel turn to Louis.
"Oh I'm sorry. Was I interrupting something here?" Louis got up by shaking his head. "Nope, just the cue for me to leave." He put his hands in the pockets of his pants.
"Right. It's good to see you, Louis." Samuel smiles.
"Good to see you, Samuel." He looks at me after he looks at Samuel. "I'll see you later." I nod and I see him leave my office.
The Louis that left the room wasn't the same Louis I spent my afternoon with.
"So, any progress in between you two?" I hear Samuel ask. "I don't know. We're at this stage only for the wedding I guess." I shrug and walk to my chair and sit. "Besides, he's taken so I think I should just take time and get over it." I sigh and say.
"Enough about me, have to made any progress?" He sighs and sits on the chair that's in front of my desk. "I'm letting her loose for sometime." He replies.
"More like Mike and Cassidy have made things official." I chuckle and say.
"He's no good for her and she'll realise that one day. She'll come back to me." He confidently spoke. "In the meantime I thought I might as well hang out with my lovely British girlfriend." I chuckle and shake my head.
"You're going for the Burberry show?" He asks me, I nod my head.
"How long are you going to be here in London?" I ask him.
"2 weeks and then I'm going to Florida." He tells me, I take another sip of my latte.
"Since we both are going for the event, we should go together." I look at him. "I think it's quiet fair since we are together according to world." he continues to speak.
"Not arriving there together will only have many questions thrown at us to answer." I slowly nod because he was stating a valid point.
"Besides we both our single. We are pretty much in the same stage as we were in two months ago." I chuckle, so does he.
I settle the papers that lay like a mess on my table and in between I took a sip of my latte. Samuel sat there and did something on his phone. Once I was done with the table, I check my email.
"I better get moving, Calliope." I look at him and he was slowly getting up from the chair. "Where are you staying this time?" I ask.
"The same place I stayed at last time." I nod. "We'll meet up in the days to come." He tells me.
"Yeah or like last time I'll come to the hotel." He chuckles. He walks to the door and before he opened it to leave, he turns around and waves me goodbye. I wave back and the I see him step out of my office.
I lean back on my chair and took in some deep breaths. As much as I was a little happy that Samuel came in, seeing Louis walk out literally was heartbreaking.
I look at my empty Starbucks cup and let out a sigh. I take my phone and call the girl that attends me.
"Get me a cappuccino from Starbucks."
