Danielle Elizabeth Edwards
The small clock on my table struck five. My colleagues wave me goodbye before they left for the day.
I look at the clock now and it's two minutes past five. It's Thursday and I have a dance appointment at six. Forget the part where I will be seeing Harry, I can't really stay mad at him but dancing? I'm too clumsy for it.
I let out a frustrated sigh and packed my things into my hand bag. I switch the lights of the room off before I walk out of it.
I say goodbye to some of my colleagues who were working late today and walk out of the office. I took the elevator and pressed the button that would lead me to the level on which I had parked my car.
I quickly ran from the elevator to where I had parked my car. It was freezing. I got into my car and drove out from the building.
I reach for the card that Callie had given to me the other day when I was on the Main Street. The street was crowded just like any other day at this time of the day, it's alright when you're heading home after work but today I have to be somewhere and I doubt if I'll even reach there on time.
Luckily I did. With ten minutes for six on the clock I parked my car in the building's parking lot. I hug myself tight as I walk across the parking area to the building.
I walk straight to the elevator, I press the button that had number five engraved on it. The door closes and I turn to the mirror to check my face out. I settle my hair just when the elevator door opens.
I walk out and opens the double glass door that led me to the reception desk of the place. The lady there had a cheerful smile on her face as she attended her call.
I stand in front of the desk and wait till she was done. She saw me and kept the phone down.
"Good Evening, how may I help you?" She asks me.
"I've uh there's a booking for Mr. Waltz for uh" I manage to say some words, she slowly nods her head and looked at her computer screen in front of her.
"Are you Danielle Edwards?" She looks at me, I nod. "You've come at the right time and Mr. Styles has been waiting for you." She gestures to her right, I turn and I find Harry sitting on one of the sofas.
Harry got up from there and came and stood beside me. The lady directed us to where we were to be. We thank her and walk away from there.
We opened the double wooden doors and walked into a maple wooded floored room with large mirrors.
"Woah, this place is amazing." I swirl my way into the room.
"Good interior work done by the designers." I hear Harry say. I turn and look at him with a small frown. "What?" He asks.
"Dani, do we seriously have to do this? I mean you and I know that dancing is not our forte." He tells me.
"I know." I agree because it is a fact. "But we appointed two of our closest people to plan our wedding and that includes a dance." He shakes his head.
"I'm aware of a dance being a part of it but it's not compulsory so I'll tell Louis to leave it out." He turns to walk towards the door.
"You could have told that to him or Callie when they informed you. Why are you here if you weren't interested in it?" I ask him with my hands on my hips.
"I didn't want to, I told Louis too but," he pauses for a second, "I thought at least this way I'll see you." He looks at me.
"You saw me, there you go." He shakes his head and walks towards me. He places his hands on my cheeks and slowly leans in but I move away when I see the door open. He looks at me wondering why I pulled away but he heard the footsteps.
