Calliope Jane Edwards
The kettle heated some water, some freshly baked biscuits were resting on my kitchen counter.
I was wearing my blue jeans with a semi- sweater top. My hair had some beach waves done by my curler.
My little terrace had some fresh flowers since the old once dried and died. The house was bright and I was just feeling that since I'm excited to plan the wedding for my sister.
I set the tray with all the requirements for tea placed neatly in it. I put an assortment of tea in a little ceramic bowl and poured the hot water in my tea pot.
Just when I finished pouring the water in the pot, I heard my doorbell ring. I placed my kettle back in its place and went to answer the door knowing fully well who was standing outside.
I open the door and I see him with his messed yet perfect hair, blue eyes and to compliment that he wore his denim jacket. What am I doing?
"Hey Callie." He greets me.
"Hi, come in." I let him in and then closed the door. He was standing in my living room and admiring the apartment. "You got yourself something beautiful, Callie." I hear remark.
"Thanks, took me a while to set it up." I smile and walk up to him. "I'd love to have a tour of it." He begins to say, I was getting excited but it went away when he continues his sentence, "but we're here to work on the wedding right?" I, with slight disappointment, nodded my head.
"Why don't you get comfortable in my mini terrace." I show him where to go, "I'll bring the tea." I say, he nods and then he walked in the direction of my terrace and I headed to the kitchen to take the tray of goodies.
I carefully carried it to the terrace. I saw him seated on one of the chairs, I set the tray on the table and took a seat on the other chair.
I pour in some water in the two mugs, "What tea do you prefer in the evenings?" I ask him, showing him the collection I had. He leans in and chooses one of them. I took mine and I dipped the tea bag in to my mug.
"Still no sugar?" I ask when I saw him drink his tea. "Nope." He sets his mug on the table. "However I tend to add some extra sugar when I coffee. It's just too bitter." He cringed his nose, I chuckle.
"You know, Cal, they're not wrong when they say that the British love their tea and the Americans love their coffee. They need coffee at almost every hour or two." He tells me.
"Well, Starbucks is something you cannot say no to." I say.
"I know but have you seen the queue at Starbucks? It's always houseful!" He gasps and says. "Even Twinnings doesn't have a queue the whole day." He points.
"Yeah that's because everybody in England has Twinnings and Yorkshire tea in their house." I state and take a sip of my tea.
"So!" I exclaim to change the topic, "About the wedding. Did Harry tell you anything about it?" I ask.
"He just told me the colours they've chosen and just other little things." He shrugs and says.
"That's alright. Actually Dani came up with somethings the other day. She came up with a few things while we had lunch." I begin to say. He got comfortable and got serious and listens.
"There's this place the Mum, Dani and I've once been to. After going to that place, Dani and I decided that we would love have a country side wedding." I look away and let out a small sigh.
"Since I lost the chan- what I mean is I want my sister to have her dream wedding." I mentally blushed out of embarrassment.
"Country side wedding sounds fun. So where exactly is this place?" He asks me as he took one of the biscuits from the plate.
