You were wrong. Terribly wrong. Somehow you had to unmake your mistakes. There have been too many of them. Way too many. The only way to make it up was ending the terror your friends have lived through. You'd save them at any cost. This was the finale timeline. After this run Sans will be able to see the stars and Papyrus will see his beloved sun.

You gave that promise to yourself, drinking the water Grillby gave you and swallowing the next wave of sadness. What an irony. Sans hated promised, you knew that, but still you promised him a future that would not be stolen anymore.

You have run away too often, could not take the burden of both him and you. Then there was Frisk. An eight years old child who saw the living hell. You just had to change the world, even if that meant your own happiness would get hurt by your own doings. Your friends, no... your family was very important to you. Memories of the kindness that they've shared made you cherish those who cared about you.

From your very first day you knew, that someday you'll have a choice to make. Today was this day. You were filled with DETERMINATION to do so.

It's impossible to spell DETREMINATION without TERMINATION...

I have to go this way alone. I have to face Frisk and take her home. My little sister, hold on. Rescuer is coming. I promise.

[Please be good]

You'll be. You'll be good just like you promised to Toriel. She was the mother you never had. But that's fine. Begin grateful for every minute the world gave you as a gift was a nice feeling. Even if most of the time was horrible, you were somehow proud of yourself, because you still were here, breathing, living, loving.

"What's eatin' you?"

Surprised you looked up to see Grillby on the next sit beside you leaning on the desk. Your eyes widened in realization. This was the first time you heard him say something. Till now he has never spoken to you. Everything is possible in this timeline, you guessed.

"Nothing, really."

He just looked at you in silence. How comes he is so kind towards you – a human?

The way the flame-monster watched you made you uncomfortable. There was a pressure on your fragile heart. He just saw you running into his local crying like the world would end the next day. Then, you had to spill it out: "Life is so shitty! No matter what I do people who are important to me get hurt."

Again, you could hear yourself asking stupid question all over again. But this time you could answer them easily.

Was it really worth the cost? – No...

Was it you who deserved to be the one alive in the end? – No!

Can you feel the darkness crawling with your sins? – Yes, of course.

"When life throws lemons at you try to make lemonade."

It isn't that easy, you wanted to tell, but why even trying? He meant what he said. There was a hint of true in it too.

With a deep breath you got up. Your HP was restored again. "Thanks Grillby. See you around."

"See ya next time. Hopefully in a better mode."

You waved and went out into the snow. Since it was pretty hot at Grillby's it seemed to be even cooler outside then it usually was.

In this timeline the monsters were happy and nobody really noticed you as you set your course to the waterfalls. Naturally you had to pass the skeletons' home. For a short span of time you thought about going inside to see your friends, but as you reached the door, all your courage disappeared. Biting you lip you just stood there, knowing Sans wouldn't let you go if he saw you right now.
