Chapter 3

Nicole was laughing the whole time we were in the Supermarket, and Allie was just staring at Nick. She was a weird one. I went up to Nick and all I could see when he turned around was his deep blue eyes and I went speechless. 

“Can I help you with anything?”, Nick said with a smirk.

“Umm... Yeah I am doing a Scavenger Hunt for my friends birthday and one of the challenges is to take a picture with someone random..”, I said nervously, trying not to seem awkward. 

He started laughing and said, “Sure”. And it was the cutest sure I’d ever heard. 

“Thank you so much”, I said with a huge smile. Nicole was still laughing in the background. Allie snapped the picture and we both made goofy faces. He had on a green shirt, black shorts and an apron, all of the Supermarket employees had to wear the same thing. We started walking out the double doors and I decided to do challenge 3 while I was here. I walked back to him and he turned to me,

I said, “Challenge number three is to give a guy my phone number.. I hope this isn’t too awkward.”

“No problem”, He said with a smile and gave me his phone to put in my number. He has a black IPhone 5 and I was really jealous. 

“Thanks so much, you can text me if you want”, I giggled, having no idea what I just said to the hottest guy i’ve ever seen. 

“I will, I hope you guys win!”, He answered smiling.

Did he just said he will? Did this seriously just happen? What is going on? All things I asked my self after leaving the Supermarket. At this point I had forgotten all about the Scavenger Hunt. 

Nicole was so happy for me as always, she was always the supportive friend. I liked that about her. Allie was just someone to have fun with, she would always make the funniest faces, or stupidest jokes. 

“So has he texted you yet?”, Allie said with a smile. 

I gave her a look and she laughed. We got back in the car and drove to the next obstacle. Which read:

Go to City Hall and steal the Christmas Lights off of the tree

I had never stolen a thing in my life and now I was about to steal Christmas Lights from the government. An explanation to the Christmas Lights being up in July is always a question of mine. There were so many trees that had lights on them, so I guess they just never take them down. 

We got to City Hall and saw another team there and hurried to take down some lights, Nicole was still laughing but she was unraveling like she was on a Merry Go Round or something. I was on Allies shoulders taking the lights from the top down. We finally got them all and we heard the police sirens. We ran so fast. Jumped in the car and giggled about the whole situation, and drove to the next destination.
