Chapter 26

“He kissed you?!?” Melissa yelled from Ella’s room over hearing out conversation. She walked out of the room and into the living room.

“Yeah, and I ran out. I feel bad but why would he do that?” I said sitting on the swirly chair with everyone around me.

“He obvi likes you and you still have feelings for Nick so you are oblivious about everything. You secretly like Justin and I think we all know that.” Melissa said making a good point. I wanted to make things right with Justin and apologize for making a big deal of it.

“I have class soon but I am not feeling well, I think i’m gonna skip.” I said to everyone. I walked to my room and pushed the comforters down to get in the bed. 

I laid in bed for awhile just laying and thinking, Ella walked in with a cup of tea for me. “I brought you something” she said setting the tea on the side table. She moved the blanket and got in the bed. 

“I hate boys” I said to her looking at the ceiling. 

“Me too.” Ella said looking at the ceiling also. We both had blank faces.

“What happened with you and James?” I asked her. I turned my head towards hers.

“He is moving to New York for college.” she said with a tear dripping down the side of her face. 

“You are kidding...” I shockingly said to her. I looked back up at the ceiling and watched the fan spin.

“Nope.. boys suck.” she said. We both just laid there for awhile until Nicole knocked on the bedroom door.

“Am I invited?” she said opening the door looking at Ella and I laying there. 

“Always” I said moving over so Nicole could have a spot on the bed. We all slid over, it was a tight fit but we managed. We all dozed off and fell asleep. 

We woke in the morning around 9am, I had class soon so I got up and got ready. Nicole was already up making breakfast, and Ella was in the shower. Ella had class soon too, and then she was meeting up with James to talk. I left before anyone else got ready.

I walked to the coffee cart next to the college, I sat on the bench next to the cart and drank my coffee. I loved to people watch, everyone had a different way of walking and talking and laughing. It is interesting how everyone has a life too and you never know what life they live. 

Justin walked up to me when I was sitting on the bench, “Didn’t see you in class yesterday.” he said having a seat next to me on the bench. 

“I was sick, I wanted to talk to you though.” I said turning towards him.

“Me too, I am really sorry about what happened. I know it was wrong of me to do, even after you told me that story about you and Nick. I didn’t mean to come off like that.” He said sounding really sincere. 

“No, I am sorry. I shouldn’t have reacted the way I did.” I said with a sad look on my face. 

“It was my fault..” he paused. “Want to walk to class together?” He got up looking at me.

“Sure.” I smiled as we walked to class. 

In class I got a text during the lecture, that read:

I need to talk to you... <3 -Nick

I shut my phone off and just looked at the Professor. I wasn’t listening to anything he said, I just sat there starring and thinking of why he wanted to talk now. He had the worst timing, I needed Nicole for this. I texted her:

Hey Nick texted me, I need help. Meet me at the apartment in an hour. Thanks love you -Cara

After class Justin and I walked down the sidewalk. “Were you even paying attention during this class?” he asked me curious.

“Some of it, there is just a lot on my mind right now.” I told him, I didn’t want to tell him about Nick just yet.

“I’ll walk you home today, I don’t want to be at that frat house more than I have too” he said rolling his eyes. I giggled and we walked to my apartment.

We got to the house and I walked in, “See you later Justin, thanks for the walk.” I told him before shutting the door.

I walked into Nicole’s room and sat on her bed, I put my shoes on her floor and sat criss cross sliding to the center of the bed. “What happened?” Nicole said anxious because of the text.

“He said he needed to talk to me.. then put a heart.” I said in disgust looking at her.

“A heart???” Nicole said loud. She was just as angry as I was.

“Yep.. I need to talk to him. I have no idea what to say though.” I answered. I laid back, and started screaming into a pillow.

“Maybe he broke up with blondie and wants you. He has no one, you have to remember that. I am not sticking up for him, I am just being reasonable.” she said in a soft voice.

“You’re right.. I have to text him back.” I said getting my phone out.

I texted Nick back saying: 

Hey, I need to talk too. Meet me at the college park in 20 min. -Cara
