Chapter 9
I walked into the doors of my first interview the next day, I was trying to get some money for gas. Also, I was almost 18 and I just needed money. The whole time the lady was asking me questions I was confusing my self and answering stupid stuff. I definitely thought I wasn’t getting the job, the lady walked me to the door and said, “We will keep in touch.” I knew what that meant. NO. I decided to surprise Nick at the Supermarket, I could sit in the Café and read my book for school and have some soup. That sounded like a good plan to me.
I walked into the Supermarket and Nick sees me and smiles, I thought that was nice. I said Hello quickly and walked over to the Café. I sat down and started reading the book. It was a very boring book and I was more interested in the soup than this book. I put the book down and went on Twitter. I saw Nick walk over from the corner of my eye. I looked up and and he was smiling as usual.
“Hey, I’m on break” He said as he sat down in the chair in front of me.
“Ugh, thank goodness. I was getting really bored”, explaining my boring book story. I liked looking at Nick he wasn’t like other guys which sounds cliche but I was right.
I looked to the right of Nick and I saw this other guy that worked at the Supermarket that liked me and I apparently turned him down, I didn’t even know I did. I don’t care though, I never liked him to begin with. He was looking at me with an evil eye while I was talking to Nick. “I have to go soon, my friend Ella is coming to town for the weekend.” I said looking back at him.
“Okay, I have to get back to work anyways.” He said smiling, he kissed me on the forehead.
I didn’t know what this was. Were we dating? Were we official? Were we just hanging out? I don’t know. All I knew is I was happy with him, so I didn’t care.
I walked to my car, and drove home. Ella was waiting for me at the house, I gave her a huge hug and we caught up like we always did since she lived out of town. We would text every now and then but we never got the real details. Ella was laid back and I guess that’s why I liked her. I was happy that Ella and Nicole got along. They actually liked each other a lot.
Ella and I went to Nicole’s house and ordered pizza and stayed in for the night. We all gossiped about boys, Ella talked about her love life. She was torn over two boys, but one she was dating. I personally liked the other one better but he was kind of a douche. It was complicated. Nicole loved this one boy his name is Dylan and I was just waiting for him to ask her out. They are perfect together. We were all texting our boys, I like to call them that.
I asked Ella “So which boy are you gonna pick?”, with a smile on my face. She hated when I asked her questions that she didn’t know the answer to.
“Ugh” she said as always, She had a conflict and I really had no idea what she was going to do. One of the boys, James, was president of her school and super hot. The other boy Alex was someone she had been talking to since her last break up, and I haven’t met him yet so I have no idea. Her life was confusing.
