Quidditich Practice
Autumn's P.O.V.
"Mum, are you coming?" I yelled to mum, who was still in the Common Room.
"Maybe I'll catch up later. I'm so proud of you though sweetie. I can't wait until the game against Slytherin!" She beamed at me, causing me to giggle.
"See ya later, mum!"
"Bye!"
I walked through the halls in my uniform and with my broom, to find Oliver Wood and the rest of the Quidditch team.
Oliver is the Keeper. Fred is a Beater. George, Angelina, and another girl are Chasers. Harry is the Seeker.
And me? I'm a Beater. Mum says it's a quality of my father...except I've never met my father.
Harry and I were able to get onto the Quidditch team last year. That is a huge honor, because the time to start getting on the team is the second year, but we got on in our first!! It's a long story, but let's just say Harry and I broke a few rules to get Neville's Remembrall.
"We spent the summer devising a whole new Quidditch program. We are gonna train earlier, harder, and longer." Wood told us as we walked. "What?" He looked outside in disbelief. "I don't believe it." He scoffed, frustrated. We walked to see the Slytherins going to the field as well.
"Where do you think you're going, Flint?" Wood asked the captain of the Slytherin team.
"Quidditch practice." Flint smirked.
"I booked the pitch for Gryffindor today." Oliver told him.
"Easy, Wood. I've got a note." Flint gave a piece of paper to Oliver, who unfolded it.
"I, Professor Severus Snape, give the Slytherins permission to...." Wood was reading the note, but I heard Ron say something that sounded like 'Uh-oh, I smell trouble.' And just then, Ron and Hermione walked over.
"....to train their new Seeker." Wood finished reading. "You've got a new Seeker? Who?"
Two Slytherins separated to reveal....
"Malfoy?" Harry asked, looking as if he thought he had just gone mad.
"That's right." Malfoy smirked. "And that's not all what's new this year." He said, putting his broom to the other side. New brooms? That's what they got?
"Those are Nimbus 2001's." Ron stared. "How did you get those?"
"A gift from Draco's father." Flint said.
"You see, Weasley, unlike some, my father can afford the best." Malfoy piped up. I laughed a bit too loudly. "Is there a reason you're laughing, Black?"
"Usually...no. But right now, yes!" I heard some people chuckle at my weirdness. Not that I cared. "You see, Malfoy, just because your brooms are new, doesn't mean you play any better. We have skills. And you've got...what?...some pretty cool things to fly on. It doesn't mean you'll win!" I devised that point.
"At least no one on the Gryffindor team had to buy their way in, they got in on pure talent." Hermione cocked her head to the side a bit, but firmly stood her ground. Hermione is my best friend and I know she will always back me up. Malfoy stared her down and walked over to her, making sure to nudge my shoulder in his way.
"No one asked your opinion, you filthy little mudblood." He spat. I found myself scoffing.
"Hold me back, guys." I growled to Harry and Ron after seeing the pain in Hermione's eyes. I lunged at Draco, but hearing me, Harry and Ron held me back. Ahhh, I love these guys. "Malfoy! Who are you to call someone filthy? Ever heard of bathing, or are you trying to kiss up to Snape?!" I was referring to his gelled-back hair, which, I admit, wasn't as gross as I put it, but I hate the guy! So his hair doesn't quite appeal to me. I saw Malfoy opening his mouth to speak, but Ron walked over to him, pointing his duct-taped wand.
"You'll pay for that one, Malfoy! Eat slugs!!" He aimed the wand at him, and a green light emerged, but Ron was hit to the ground. All the Gryffindors ran over to Ron and I punched Draco in the shoulder (did I say Draco? I meant Malfoy!), because he laughed, as I walked over to Ron. Ron looked a little green, and next thing I know, a slug is on the grass. Did I mention that Ron threw up that slug? Gross, right? A flash came from a camera and it turned out to be Colin Creevey, a little stalkerish first year, who's obsession is Harry freakin' Potter.
"Woahh. Can you turn it around, Harry?" Colin had that crazy, mischievous look in his eye.
"No, Colin, get out of the way!" Harry yelled, all of us grabbing Ron, who had just thrown up another slug. Disgusted sounds crossed the area.
"Oh, GROW UP!" I yelled, and they instantly shut up. I asked Harry and Hermione what we were all thinking. "Hagrid's?"
Harry nodded. "Let's go. He'll know what to do."
As Harry and Hermione took Ron to Hagrid's, I told them I'll get there in a bit, and walked over to Malfoy.
"That could've been you." I glared at him.
"Oh, but it wasn't. Doesn't matter. Weasley's deserved it." Malfoy smirked and everyone around him laughed.
"You're such a prat, Malfoy!" I screamed out at him, wanting to kick him in the gut, but refrained myself...kind of.
"Really? And are you going to do something about it?" He gave me a mock-sad face, taunting me. Well, I wasn't going to let it get out of hand, but I am not a wimp either. So I did what a rational twelve-year old witch would do...I kicked him in the gut, just what I had wanted to do.
He fell in pain, but someone caught him, and I smirked. "That answer your question?" I raised my eyebrow, letting this linger for a second. Then, I turned around and walked off. To Hagrid's.
A/N: So, how was it?? By the way, I was wondering if Autumn should get into a relationship with anyone in particular. Maybe not this year, but through the years? So, if you think she should, then suggestions on who please!!
