I rushed through the halls of Hogwarts, my heels clicking on the surface of the floor. It's late in the year and a lot of time since that New Year's Dance has passed. A lot of time. To be exact, it's June 5th, and to make matters worse, it is yet another full moon. The problem with the moment is that Remus forgot his Wolfsbane today, and it is up to me to bring it to him while he waits at the Shrieking Shack for the transformation. I kept my eyes peeled forward and did not even notice the two teenagers bump into me. I looked down slightly at Harry and Autumn.
"Oh, sorry you two. I'd love to stay and chat, but I do have to go." I mumbled, with a smile.
"Where are you going, mum?" Autumn smiled back at me. The two of us got over the fight long ago, for we realized that our mother and daughter bond is more important than something I've lied about, which was definitely a serious topic, but enough to get over. The story of how we got along, though, is for another time on another day.
"I, uhm, I have to go to Professor Snape." I said quickly.
"Professor, would you be able to review something I will hand in for Potions?" Harry inquired, way out of context of the conversation, almost as if he was stalling.
"Yes, but not right now, I have to go , I'm sorry." I stumbled, but couldn't escape the wall of Harry and Autumn.
"What do you need with Professor Snape?" Autumn asked slyly.
"N-nothing." I stuttered, hoping they wouldn't get the wrong idea. "I need to receive something from him. I'll be going now." I walked off, not having time to answer to the conversation happening behind me.
"You don't think Sapphire and Snape are-?" Harry snickered.
"No. No way, Mum wouldn't...no." Autumn probably pulled a disgusted face and gagged.
A laugh came from Harry, followed by Autumn, but that was all I could hear before running off to the Potions classroom.
In the Potions classroom, I looked for the Wolfsbane. I looked through cauldrons, most being empty, but none had what I needed for Remus. I looked at the different potions around the classroom, finding the jackpot at my second row of potions. I smirked at finally finding it and shoved it in my pocket as I heard someone come in.
"Sapphire."
"I-I'm sorry, Severus, I just...I..."
"You, what?" He stared at me with his cold, black eyes.
"I was...actually hoping to see you." I came closer to him, shoulders brushing, but walked towards the door instead of staying in my current position.
"Really now? And why, may I ask?" His monotone, low voice asked.
"You may, but whether I respond to you or not is an entirely different story." I smirked at him and opened the door, ready to leave. Instead, I turned around. "Don't worry about it, Snape."
I did not get to see his reaction, since I left the Potions classroom before anything else was said.
I ran off towards the Shrieking Shack, hoping to get Remus the Wolfsbane before any transformation begins.
Luckily for me, I was right on schedule.
A/N: That was definitely a filler but this is before the whole Sirius/Remus/Snape/Sapphire/Peter and Harry/Autumn/Hermione/Ron thing happens, haha. Hope you enjoy the next chapter, which I expect is soon to come! I'd really love to hear your opinions on the story as it progresses.
