~Friday~

Autumn's P.O.V.

I am still angry with my 'mother,' if I can even call her that. Sure, it's been since the holidays and it's already a day before the dance, but she really has made me feel betrayed. Hearing talk of Sirius Black, my father, always makes me clench my fists involuntarily. Mother has tried to mend bonds with me, but I don't know if recovery from this will come soon. This whole situation, weeks later, makes me want to think and this is exactly why I am now wandering the school to clear these thoughts of mine. I keep racking my brain over something that is losing importance. Shouldn't I just forgive her by now? - someone might ask me.

An answer can range from an "I guess" to "of course not."

I don't exactly know.

"AUTUMN!" I heard from behind me a familiar voice, but still keep walking. The voice caught up to me. "Hi! Slow down."

"What is it that you need, Draco?" I asked him.

"N-nothing, I just saw you walking."

"Great, you seem to have eyes like the rest of us."

"Oh, well, someone seems a bit moody. Shouldn't you be a bit nicer to someone with an injury?"

"Didn't your arm heal already?"

"Well, yeah, but..."

"Butttt nothing."

"Sorry." He seemed to frown, but quickly recovered to his cocky self. "So, I need to ask you something."

"What is it?"

"Are you -uhm- going to that dance tomorrow?"

"I guess, why?"

"With a date?"

"Nope." I said, popping the P.

"Right. So, would you agree if I could go with..." He seemed to think really hard, as if it took all his courage. "with Pansy Parkinson?"

I raised my eyebrows. Parkinson? She looks like a pug, but she is all over Draco, so they're obviously meant for each other.

"Are you asking for my permission?"

"No, I just - I was wondering."

"Go with her." I smiled, but I could tell myself that it was not a genuine smile.

"Oh, uh, alright." He stuttered, scratching the back of his head. "B-bye." And before I had the chance to say anything else, he was gone.

I have no idea what that was about. Why would he need my permission to take a girl to the dance? It's not like he was going to ask me to go, or ask me something about classes? I just don't get it. Thinking about all this, I ended up bumping into somebody when going around the corner of the dark hallway.

And whoever that somebody was, somehow got to be on top of me, me being on the floor.

"I'm so sorry, Autumn. I'm sorry."

"It's okay."

Both of us stood up, and now that my vision was more clear, I realized that it was sweet, lovable Neville.

"Sorry." He repeated.

"It's alright, Neville."

"So, erm, how is your day?"

"Could be a bit better, I think, you?"

"Agreed. I'm just going to the library to catch up on some homework."
