Sapphire. Evening. Remember me? I'm Tom Riddle.

No. Way.

He. Tom. Riddle. What?

I was spluttering out gibberish at this point for two reasons.

The first, it's Tom Riddle's diary. That same Tom Riddle that kissed me twice, that caused the trouble with S-Sirius, and that same Tom Riddle that made me smile when he said he is leaving Hogwarts. And I never heard from him again. So I did what my brain told me to do next. I wrote again.

You again?

I smirked when I wrote this, and then it disappeared.

Who did you expect?

Came the writing again, and it vanished once more.

I didn't even expect this to be a diary, let alone yours. I wrote.

Fair enough. Tom's handwriting appeared.

Then, I decided to touch on a subject that I wanted to know more about, and save the school if I did. The subject of the Chamber of Secrets.

D-Do you know anything about the Chamber of Secrets, Riddle?

I had asked.

Yes.

And came that three letter word. I tried to ration out my breathing, it getting a bit faster. He knew about the Chamber of Secrets.

W-well, can you tell me?

No. Came his reply, making me sink back in disappointment. But, for you, I am able to show you.

This made me beam, but then I looked a bit confused. How is it he will show me?

Let me take you back, Sapphire, to our time.

My eyes widened. Oh, how I'd love to really go back. How will HE make that happen? Before I knew it, the pages flipped until they reached another blank page. But on it was faint writing. 13th June.

And, if I hadn't already thought I went mad, I picked up the diary to look at it closer. Through the middle of the page, it started glowing, shining.

And before I knew it, it was like being inside a dream, or in my case, a nightmare.

I walked through the halls, but for some reason, everything around me had less color, almost as if it was gray. I walked until I saw my dear old "friend," Tom Riddle, on the top of the stairs. I walked up there and next to him.

"Uhm...Riddle?" I asked cautiously. No answer. No acknowledgment. Nothing. Then it hit me. This is a memory. Meaning no one can see me, or hear me, or notice me. And I only see what happened before. This makes so much sense. Next thing I saw was men carrying a stretcher down the stairs, Riddle still looking up at them. On the stretcher was a body.

"Riddle!!" Called out a voice. "Come."

"Professor Dumbledore." Riddle said, finally moving to Good Ol' Dumblydore.

"You know it is not wise to be wandering this late hour, Tom." Dumbledore said.

"Yes I suppose I...well, I had to see for myself if the rumors were true."

"I'm afraid they are, Tom. They are true."

"About the school as well? I don't have a home to go to, they wouldn't really close Hogwarts, would they, Professor?"

"I understand, Tom. But I'm afraid Headmaster Dippet may have no choice."

"Sir, if it all stopped. If the person responsible was caught..."

"Is there something you wish to tell me?" Dumbledore looked a bit suspicious.

"No, sir, nothing."

"Very well, then. Off you go." Dumbledore said after nodding slowly.

Riddle bid Dumbledore goodnight before leaving. I followed Riddle until he got to a huge door. He opened it after looking to make sure no one was there. Hagrid was in there.

"Evening, Hagrid." Riddle said, and pointed his wand. "I'm going to have to turn you in, Hagrid. I don't think you meant it to kill anyone but..."

"You can't!" Hagrid finally spoke up. "You don't understand."

"The dead girl's parents will be here tomorrow. The least Hogwarts can do is make sure the thing that killed their daughter is slaughtered."

I let out a gasp.

"It wasn't him. Aragog never killed no one, never!" Hagrid protested.

"Monsters don't make their pets, Hagrid. Now stand aside."

"No!"

"Stand aside, Hagrid."

"NO!"

Riddle then yelled out a spell and the box that was on the table this whole time opened. Out of it ran a huge spider and I jumped to the side for it to run off. Another spell was shot, and it was out of sight.

"Aragog, Aragog!" Hagrid screamed.

"I can't let you go. I have you warned for this, Hagrid, you'll be expelled." Riddle kept his wand pointed.

Before I knew it, I was pushed back on the couch of the Common Room. My eyes were wide and my breathing wasn't quite steady. So...Hagrid was the last one to open the chamber of secrets? No. No that can't be right. Something's fishy here, and I'm going to find out what it is.
