The day came for the two things. I went downstairs to my family. I heard my parents talking in the kitchen, and my mom was crying.

"I know. I know," my father said.

"I'm just going to miss her so...much," my mother said in between sobs. I felt an arm wrap around my waist from behind me. I turned around and saw Gabriel.

"Hey, Gabriel."

"Hey, Katelyn. We should leave them alone."

"Yeah, you're right." We went to the living room and began playing video games. We put our glasses on and began playing. We were interrupted by my parents coming out of the kitchen.

"Hey, mom. Hey, dad."

"Hey, Katelyn," they said in unison. We began to have small talk. 1:30 p.m. came, and my friends came also. It was such a surprise for me.

"You guys came."

S: Why wouldn't we?

We got into a big group hug. Gabriel joined in too. I guess he's in our group now. I spent the last little bit of time I had with my family and friends. This could possibly be my last day with them. Stop! Katelyn you need to think positive. We first started with games. We put our glasses on and began to play. The thing is, our games are like actual virtual worlds. When you enter the game, it's like you're actually in the game. First up was Sunny and John. Next was Elijah and Gabriel. I stood sitting down enjoying them playing the game. It was 3:30 p.m., and I heard a knock on the door.

"Who would be here at this time?"

"I got it pumpkin." My dad walked to the door cautiously and opened it. It was my brother and his family. This time, they came with a baby boy. I walked to each of them and gave them a hug.

"When did this happen?"

Bryce: A couple weeks ago.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

Angela: We didn't want you to get well...attached.

"Why?"

A: Your, uh, your...

She was stuttering, sweating, and began getting pale.

"You know?"

B: I had to tell her.

"Wait! Who's knows so far?

B: Dad, mom, me, Angela, and your four friends.

"Anyone else?"

B: No.

"Good. What's his name?"

B: James.

"May I?" They handed me the baby, and I began to cry. I just became an aunt of a second kid, and I wouldn't be able to see him grow up like I did with Ryan. I at least got to see two of her growing years. The rest of the night was fun. We played games, ate food, and sang a couple songs. It was now 11:50 p.m., and I saw my parents giving each other these glances. I didn't know why a they meant, but I had a feeling I knew. My mom came up to me and took me to my room.

"Mom, is it time?"

S: Yes.

"Okay."

S: Bring me your mascara mask.

"Okay?"

S: Here take this.

She says while handing me a pill.

"How did you get this? We're only suppose to be given these at midnight."

S: I had to sneak one. Take it as soon as you arrive to your destination. It should be 12:01 by the time you get there. Also, take this...

She said while handing a backpack.

"What's in it?"

S: It has a couple pictures, information on your mission, and money.

I looked in, and there was a lot.

"How much is in here?"

S: Three million.

"What? I'm not taking this much."

S: Where you're going, the pricing system is different. Don't worry we saved this up. It's not our usual day spending.

"Okay." We heard a knock on the door.

S: Hurry, put your watch on.

"Wait! I'm time traveling?"

S: Yes.

She set it to 01/01/2015, 12:01 a.m. She looked at the clock making sure the time was right.

"Open this door," a leader said. Our clock struck 12:01 a.m. She hit the travel button.

S: Good bye.

she said with a tear down her face.

"Mom!" I saw the leaders taking her away and knocked her out. They didn't see me, but I saw them. I began to cry at the sight of my mother being taken away.

************

So what do you think? Why were the leaders taking her mother away? Stay tuned. 🤐
