Andrea Russett
My hands shook lightly, causing me to stuff my hands into my jacket pockets.
The rain lightly patted down on my window sill. I looked out my window to see my car, sitting out in the apartment parking lot, alone.
I sighed and got up, leaving my apartment. I walked through the rain, not bothering to pull my jacket hood up. My hair was now soaked as I got into my car.
The car flickered to life and I pulled out of my parking spot.
I drove down the road in silence. It was dark out and I didn't feel like turning my windshield wipers on.
The car glided across the road, nearly sending me into a ditch, but I was capable of staying on the road.
I pulled over slowly and sat there as the rain got harder. I laid my head on the steering wheel and closed my eyes.
I heard my phone buzz and I reached into the passenger seat to grab my phone.
It was Ricky.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Andrea, hey!" Ricky's voice sounded calm, practically soothing.
"What's up Rick?" I smiled a little, leaning back into my seat.
"I'm going to go to Target with Trevor, want to join us?" He asked.
"To Target, why Target?"
"We want to find cool things to do a challenge. I want to do the Friend VS. Friend Tag, but also he and I want to do some challenges and we need shit." Ricky answered.
"Okay. I'll meet you there in a minute, it's kind of, uh, I'm on the side of the road. The road is slippery and my wheels are gripping the asphalt."
"Where are you, I'll pick you up." Ricky questioned.
I told him the road I was on.
"Trevor and I'll be there in twenty minutes." He informed me.
I hung up and waited patiently, my breathing heavy. Trees were bending due to the blowing wind. I could see leaves and a few sticks blowing in the wind.
A howling noise echoed.
I cringed and then closed my eyes, trying to block out the world.
After a while, I heard a honking noise. I looked in my rearview mirror to see Ricky's car.
I zip up my jacket and pull my hood over my head. I grab my phone and wallet, then rush out of my car and over to Ricky's car.
Trevor had climbed into the backseat so I quickly got into the front passenger seat.
"Hey," Ricky smiled.
"Andrea Rose Russett," Trevor screeched, "how is you, girl? You is good?"
I laughed. "I'm great, you?"
"I'm tired!" Ricky laughed.
Trevor shrugged, "I'm gucci."
