Pieces-
Maybe we feel empty because we leave pieces of ourself in everything we used to love
Maybe we see ourselves in things around the globe because we're finding those pieces
Grab a chair let's think this through
Grab the map let's take a look
It's like a sea of puzzle pieces all adding up to you
And when you find the sea of red you'll see what you've put your heart into for real
And maybe some brown hair floating around from when you were more stressed than anyone ever knew trying to figure out what type of love you fell into

Let's look for those pieces of deep brown and forest green, Sapphire blue an the black that fills the night sky with stars and wishes
Let's find what made you feel love at first sight and leave a piece of your indescribable iris's at the scene
A beautiful crime you'd assume seeing as you lost a piece of you but just think, you planted a gem of beauty in a random place just waiting to be seen

Lets travel to where we find the light shades of pink and the dark tints of red
The ones that fill our cheeks and find a permanent place on our necks
The pieces of ourselves that are caused by others
The causes of sentimental words and falling in love
The causes of embarrassing moments and adrenalin pumping
Maybe it's from the first time you saw him
Or maybe there's a trail all across the state from each and every time you saw his face or thought of his name
  Maybe it's from the first time you jumped out of that plane
Or tripped running up those steps at school
Remember the first time you stepped on a stage ? Maybe that's it too

The shapes that find there way onto your skin
Weather born ,accidental or purposely
These marks are what make your canvas yours
They identify you as much as your name and your wonderful face
These scars from you living your life could contain your ultimate highs and your undeniable lows
They can contain memories that you have now forgotten about and places that you wish to re visit an people you wish to un-meet
It's almost like looking up at the clouds you've been spending your whole life starring at this shape to try and figure out what it looks like.
