Chapter 7
What Place Is This?

Grant leads Stephen and I around the camp to get us familiar with the place. He takes us to the building on the far left. The building looks like it's a place only a black smith would enjoy. I spotted an anvil through the window. Inside the building is a bunch of closets with tools for construction and harvesting.

"This is where we keep our tools to help us gather food for the day. We mostly have everything from hammers, nails, crowbars, and machetes. If you need tools or questions to ask, you can ask these two."

Two men show up at behind the dark cloth hanging from the rafters. Both of them are covered in dirt from working on new tools at the craft table. They two guys spotted us in an instant. I started to size the height difference between the two.

"These are the Herin brothers, Daric and Barlic." Grant introduced them to us.

"Nice to meet you boys, hope you're finding yourself at home." He shook my hand.

Daric was different from his brother Barlic. Daric was the older brother in his early 40s, short cut brown hair, blue eyes, and a tough guy personality. Judging from his physique, he's probably strong enough to flip a convertible on its back. Barlic on the other hand was in his mid 30s, with Ashe blonde hair, similar eye color, and has a much leaner physique.

"Yeah, wow that's a tough grip you have." I commented.

"Thanks mate, I've spent two years blacksmithing and somehow became the biggest and the strongest." Daric replied. "I hardly exercise since it's proven to have been quite the workout."

"Blacksmithing you say?" I asked.

"Yeah, I built most of the tools here." He told me.

"That's impressive." I complimented his handy work.

"Don't give him all the credit. I did parts of it as well." Barlic blurted. "Without my precision, his work would've turned into a modern art piece.

"What can I say, collaborations can create something unique." Stephen commented.

"That's true." Daric replied. "If you boys need anything for us to build, we'd be honored to help you out."

"Thank you for your time guys." Grant shake both of their hands before we left the place.

"Have a good day mate." Daric shouted before we left the tool shop.

Grant takes us outside of the tool shop and leads us down to the next building. All of the sudden we see a group running past us. One of them accidentally ran into me and we both hit the group. I looked up to the runner and the runner looked back at me. The runner had black, flip and switch hair, sea green eyes, ash skin and an athletic build.

"Oh sorry man." said the runner who got back up and caught up with the group.

"Are you alright, man?" Stephen asked. "That looked like you got the wind knocked out of you."

" I almost did. Not really new to me. Who was that guy?" I asked in an inquisitive manner.

"You mean the one you ran into? That's Jachin, the leader of the trainers. He started the trainer society a few months back." Grant told me.

"He seems to be doing a decent job of leading the group." Stephen commented.

"Yes and there are more groups you can join," Grant informed.

Grant showed us the different groups around the camp. He guides to a list placed nearby the camp fire carved into a wooden board. The list contained many different categories with the persons name written on the bottom of the section. There are a few names crossed out from the list. Either they have died from natural causes or were executed by the mercenaries.
