Chapter 17

Allie?

Tonight has been a struggle as I tried to sleep. I kept seeing the horrors of yesterday's incidents as well as the deaths of my fellow campers. I started off in a dark room and heard a scream echoing in the far distance. I took a step towards the sound and felt the floor was wet and warm. I look down to the floor and with horror, I was stepping in a pool of blood. The screams started to multiply with a torturous effect. As I continued to walk, the screams got louder and louder that my ears started to ring. I fell onto my knees and collapsed onto the surface. I look down to see the reflection of Author. More faces started to appear in the blood soaked floor. I started run through the pool of blood and I start to get pulled deeper into the pool by the blood soaked arms.

I was transported into a large pond with a fifty foot waterfall standing above it. I climbed out of the pond and saw a cave underneath the flowing water. I hear movement coming from the underbrush of the jungle. A pair of deinonychus found me and started to chase me. I started to sprint over to the waterfall and began to climb into the cave. There was a problem. The rocks were too slippery for my hands to grip onto anything. The creatures surrounded me and I felt claustrophobic as the numbers increased. I closed my eyes before one of the raptors pounces at me. The raptors turned into dust.

Horrifyingly, they shape-shifted into a labyrinth of tropical trees. I look around the area and started to run through the vegetation. I turned many corners and overcome many obstacles until I hear a low grumbling sound. I started to feel a cool breeze in the back of my spin. The hairs on the back of my neck start to stand up. This sound was something I wouldn't hear clearly, but It was something I could feeling. The sound got louder closer as I started to feel the ground shake. I begin to run through the trees before suddenly, the scarred T-rex lunges at me with it's bone-crushing jaws.

I wake up screaming in horror from the nightmarish encounter. My heart started to slow down as seconds were passing by. I took a breath of relief to remind myself that it was nothing, but a dream. I was feeling irritatingly warm and sweaty since there is no air conditioning in the room. I wiped the sweat from my forehead and pulled the wool blanket off. I walked out of the room and into the bathroom.

As I walked into the bathroom, I went to the shower. I pulled the aqua colored curtain back and observed the functions of the shower. I looked down to the shower and pulled it in a counter clockwise formation. There was no water coming out from the shower head. I pace myself to the sink and found the same problem. I thought to myself that whenever this house was built, the constructors must have forgot to turn on the water supply system.

I walked downstair to the kitchen in order to find something to eat. Before doing so, I checked the time above the oven. The time reads 4:15 am. Back home, I wouldn't be up this early. And then again I am standing in the Hawaii Standard Time zone. I checked the drawers and the cabinets to find nothing, but boxes of stale crackers and an empty box of cereal. I hear my stomach growling at me. If I don't get something to eat quickly, then I am going to starve to death. There was only one solution I can think of. I have to hunt for food.

I return to my room and opened the closet. I started my search for a perfect hunting weapon to hunt with. There were so many assault rifles and shotguns on the rack. Many of them don't have the precision I'm looking for. I look up and found an AR-31 .308 Winchester Bolt Action Rifle resting on top of the gun racks. I grabbed the rifle from the top and observed the functions. The rifle has a sling and a sniper scope attached. From the ammo box below the racks, I grabbed a hand-full of bullets and loaded a few magazines. I placed the magazines in my pouch and started walking down stairs.

As I was about to walk out the back door, I see that Barlic decided to sleep on the couch. He is shivering from the cold night and his skin was already pale. I grabbed a blanket from the basement closet and placed it over him. Barlic took the blanket and his shivering started to slow down. Before leaving, I packed myself a canteen filled with water, matches, and my phone in my old roughed up back pack.
