CHAPTER 11

Ever since that day, the "friendly" atmosphere I had with Kimberly was changed into something else. I started pestering her, especially when I see him with Felix and she'd give me a mean look, which just makes me happier.

"Why is it such a relief?" Audrey asked after I took Kimberly's homework and changed her name into mine. Not that I do not have one. In fact gumawa nga ako eh. I just want to annoy her to the point that she won't hold back anymore.

"What?" I asked, still laughing.

"I mean, why do that to Kim? And you seem very happy about it," kunot noo niyang tanong. Natigil ako sa pagtawa at inayos ang tayo ko.

"Who wouldn't love annoying her? That look she gives me everytime she sees me? Damn, it's fulfilling!"

"Oo nga, but then, why Kim?" si Scarlet naman ang nagtanong. "Is is because she's with Felix?"

"No!" agad kong sagot. "Hindi! Gusto ko lang talaga siyang inisin. At si Felix, gusto ko lang din na maiinis sa akin so that both of them would stay away from me!" sabi ko sabay lakad palayo.

I got irritated with my two friends kaya hinanap ko na lang si Theo. There's an upcoming formal foundation day party of the school. I found him sitting on their usual table in the cafeteria with Felix and Kimberly. Andito pala ang bruha, which means hindi pa niya nakikita ang ginawa ko sa homework niya.

"I need to talk to my boyfriend," eksena ko agad sakanila.

"What a clingy girlfriend," Theo remarked. I rolled my eyes at him and then grabbed him away.

"Now what?"

"The party's within a week and we have no plans yet!"

"Ah, so we're still on the must-have-Marcus plan?"

"Duh! Obviously!"

"Akala ko wala na eh. You seemed distracted for the past days, akala ko iba na ang must-have mo," pangaasar nito sa akin.

"Shut up and just think, Theo!" suway ko rito.

"I won't be at the ball. I need to check on the farm that day," aniya.

"What?! So paano ako? I can't go without a date!"

"I know. That's why I already asked Marcus last week. He said it's okay."

"You, he, what?! Really? My goodness! May nagawa ka ring tama!" tuwang sabi ko na pinutol niya rin agad.

"But I just told him yesterday that you might wanna be with someone else," aniya.

"Huh? Ano bang pumasok sa isip mo at sinabi mo 'yun?! Bawiin mo!" sagot ko rito sabay sapak.

"What? You were really distracted! You seemed working on having Felix!" sagot nito na nakapagpatigil sa akin. Did it reallyu look like I was working on Felix? Hell no!

"Stupid! Just tell Marcus he'll be my date!" iritado kong sabi bago ako nagwalk-out.

Right after Theo blurted out that I am starting to forget about owning Marcus, I stopped pestering Kim. Siguro nga ,asyado akong natuwa sa pagbwisit sakanya. You can't blame me tho. Masyado siyang sensitive. Not too bitch for me. Wala pa sa level ko.

The night of the ball, I wore something demure but a little bit daring. Marcus picked me up. This is it. This is the night destined to make Marcus mine. I can feel it.

"You look wonderful," he said as he opened the door of his car for me.

I smiled at him, trying to figure something out from me. Bakit ganoon? Parang may kulang. Why doesn't my heart beat faster like the usual? My cheeks aren't blushing. Something's definitely wrong. Hindi 'to pwede.
