"Felix..."

It almost came out like a whisper. My heart pounded even louder than my voice. Likod pa lang niya, pakiramdam ko lusaw na ako. No... his mere presence melts me na para bang nawala lahat ng nararamdaman ko noong mga nakaraang araw.

He turned around to face me. I stopped myself from the urge of closing the distance between us. Damn.

"Bakit ngayon ka lang? Your work's supposed to be only until 5," anito.

"I... why are you here? Hindi ba bukas pa ang uwi mo?" pagtatanong ko rito bilang sagot.

"Answer me, Maura, you're supposed to be here three hours ago.

I found courage inside me when I remembered how I felt betrayed by him. He left me with Kimberly and now he's asking me why am I late? Itinaas ko ang kilay ko.

"I had dinner with Scarlet and Audrey," simpleng sagot ko at tinalikuran ito.

"Just them?" tila may pagaakusa nitong sabi.

I faced him. Now I'm annoyed!

"What? Of course!"

"Really?" ramdam ko ang lamig ay galit sa boses nito. Ako itong dapat galit sa kanya!

"What the hell is your problem?!" asar kong sagot dito.

"I'm giving you another chance, Maura. Sino ang kasama mong kumain?" may bahid pa rin ng galit sa boses nito.

"Ugh! You are unbelievable! I already said na si Scarlet at Audrey lang --"

"Then what is this?!" putol nito sa sinasabi ko sabay harap sa akin ng kanyang cellphone.

I focused my eyes on the screen until I realized it was an article with a picture that was really familiar.

Agad kumulo ang dugo ko nang mabasa ang title ng article! I knew she'd be writing about us but I clearly said Marco and I weren't together! I would get that woman fired! I swear!

I kept myself calm despite of the fury I was feeling inside. Pinili kong talikuran si Felix bago sumagot.

"I see no big deal," tila balewalang sabi ko rito.

Before I could even take another step, he grabbed my wrist, which made me face him.

"Ano bang problema mo, Felix?"

"This isn't a big deal to you?" galit nitong tanong sa akin.

I really see no point on why he's being like that! Hindi ba ay bumalik na siya kay Kimberly?! I tried to loosen up his grasp but it was no use.

"Yes! We just had lunch together! And he is my boss! I can't see something wrong about --"

"Nothing wrong?!" frustrated nitong sabi. Pinakawalan niya ang pagkakahawak sa palapulsuhan ko at ibinato ang cellphone sa kung saan. I was stunned with what he said. My heart would already be melting now if only I didn't know about his Korea trip with Kimberly. I felt wrath instead.

"I am not with you, or anyone! Nobody damn owns me, Felix!" may diin kong sabi dala ng sobrang galit ko rito.

He looked at me but something in his gaze changed. He looked pained. Para bang may kumalabit sa puso ko. No! Hindi siya nasasaktan. Or maybe I hurt his ego. That's it, it's just his ego that's hurting.
