CHAPTER 32

Waking up beside Felix in the middle of the day is already kind of weird. Alam ko namang saglit na panahon lang naman nangyari ang LDR naming drama pero iba pa rin talaga. Sa bawat pagbisita nito sa akin sa Australia, hindi kami nagigising ng tanghali, halos wala pa lang araw ay parehas na kaming gising dahil sa kailangan niyang bumalik dito sa Pilipinas. But now, we are taking our precious time.

"Morning, sunshine," pabulong nitong sabi. Marahil ay naramdaman niyang nakatitig ako sa kanya! Nakakahiya! Baka isipin nito ay patay na patay ako sa kanya. God, no! Siya dapat ang magmukhang nagkakandarapa sa akin.

Dali dali kong ipinikit ang mga mata ko upang magpanggap na tulog. Maya maya pa ay nagsalita na naman ito.

"I know you're awake, at mas lalong alam kong kanina mo pa ako tinititigan," may kumpiyansa nitong sabi.

And of course, because of my pride, nagkunwari akong pagising pa lang. Papanindigan ko ito! 

"Hmm...?" I hummed.

"You are not a good actress," mapang-asar pa nitong dagdag.

"Ang aga aga, ang ingay mo!" kunwari ay naiirita kong sabi.

He just laughed at me bago bumangon ng kama. He got dressed as I watched him. Kapag sinuswerte ka nga naman sa buhay. I mentally giggled.

"Do you have plans today?" he asked.

I shrugged. "I might inform Scarlet and Audrey that I'm back, and then... I just have to figure it out from there... but I kind of really just want to stay here the whole day."

"Well, whatever you plan, siguraduhin mo lang na hindi mo tatakasan ang security team mo," seryosong paalala nito sa akin.

"Of course, how can I forget? Eh, lagi silang nakabuntot," I pouted. "I don't even know if I want to leave today, ni hindi ko nga alam kung may mga kaibigan pa ako rito."

"They constantly ask about you whenever they see me. I'm sure they will be thrilled that you're here," he reassured me.

"What about you? Are you going to work? Late ka na!" nakangisi kong sabi.

"It's not like the school will fail without me. It's running perfectly fine," aniya. "Besides, it's just a few minutes drive."

"Whatever, boss," panunutya ko. Mahinang tawa ang sinagot nito sa akin bago pumasok sa banyo upang maligo.

We both decided to stay here in the school's village dahil kailangan din naman niyang magtrabaho and I think it's sensible na dito na lamang kami pumalagi. As for my work, I think I can do that here, too. Hindi naman ganoon pa kalaki ang role ko sa negosyo namin. My parents still handle most of the job, kakaunti lang sa akin. I'm still learning.

Isa pa, the school and the village are both heavily secured. Nagkalat ang mga tauhan nila. No one can easily come in and out of here. They are obsessed with everyone's safety.

"I think I'll drop by your office later or maybe one of these days," usal ko habang nagbibihis si Felix.

"Hmm... I like that idea," sagot niya. 

Agad ko itong nilapitan at tinulungan sa pag-ayos ng kuwelyo.

"Of course you do," sagot ko. "I might jog later in the afternoon," pamamaalam ko.
