Chapter Nineteen-My Love is Like a Star

*Demi's POV*

I had the words to 'My Love is Like a Star' stuck in my head. I needed to find Jessie. She was my life niw, she was my EVERYTHING. I turned a corner and started to walk towards the local park, my legs and feet were aching and I couldn't walk any further. I started singing In Case, and eventually I just broke down crying. I hugged my knee's to my chest and cried, sitting on the floor.
All of a sudden, it started to tip down with rain. I was shivering and shaking endlessly. My make-up was running down my face as I buried my head in my hands.

Suddenly, I felt a hand rub my arm and a voice say, "Are you okay?" I kept sobbing. I felt them sit down next to me and they started talking, "I'm broken too." She said.

*Jessie's POV*

I woke up to the sound of someone crying. I looked over to the corner of the park and saw someone with their knee's to their chest and their head in their hands. Stumbled over and rubbed their arm, "Are you okay?" I asked, they didn't answer, so I sat next to them. "I'm broken too." I played with my hands whilst looking up at the night sky. The stars were beautiful and shining. I thought of my mum up there, looking down on me and smiling down, encouraging me to tell the person my story. So I did. "I ran away from home and away from my adopted mother..." I began.

~10 minutes later~

I explained my story and by the end I was in tears. I didn't explain much, but just the bit about Demi adopting me. I couldn't even bring myself to say her name so I just said 'adopter' or something. I told the women how I was scared that I wouldn't live up to Demi's expectations and I would be a faliure and a dissapointment to both her and myslef. "I-I'm so so-sor-rry!" She said, wiping away tears. Hang on though. I knew that voice from somewhere...
