The moment she realized she was in the water Renestrae desperately began moving upward, intent on getting away before the damn Kelpie could find her, only to be met with tight resistance around her neck after only five feet.

Nearly chocking and releasing the air she needed she looked down only to find a five foot long chain that appeared to be attached to the lake bed and lead up to a leather choker around her neck. Instantly she grit her teeth and wanted to growl in annoyance.

    'Oh, hell no!'

She felt around the choker looking for a buckle or a release button but there wasn't one, there wasn't even a seam. Panicking now, she reached down, grabbed the chain and pulled as hard as she could. It did not come loose.

'What the hell kind of fucked up Fifty Shades bull shit was this!'

Renestrae tried pulling on the chain one more ineffective time before giving up and dropping it. Being forced to drown every night was bad enough, why add in something else that made her even more trapped than she already was? Why-

Her internal rant was cut short as she felt something move in the water behind her. Knowing what she would most likely see she turned around to be met face to face with the Kelpie, glowing red eyes and all.

She did not panic this time, did not backpedal despite the terror that was currently flowing through her veins because of the Kelpie and the tightening in her throat as she slowly drowned. Honestly what would have been the point this far in the game. She knew she couldn't make it to the surface, if there even was a surface the Kelpie would  have caught her without the chain. Then considering the fact that there was no way out of this chain which was only as long as she was tall and it quickly became clear that she was quite thoroughly screwed with a capital S.

'What do you want with me?'

The Kelpie's eyes bore into her own and while she did feel the fear and uncertainty pumping through her veins she refused to back down from this creature. She was scared yes, but that didn't mean that she had to show it.

"Ye, know what I want, Renestrae."

'Tough luck, you can't always get what you want.' Renestrae spat in her mind before she could tell herself to bite her tongue, more and more she was finding that her control on her patience was snapping under the slightest pressure.

Her hands curled inward as her body convulsed lightly due to the lack of oxygen and she swore that the creature fucking smiled.

"My that must be uncomfortable, always the same thing  night after night, drowning over and over again with no way to stop it."

The Kelpie moved behind her and though she turned in the water so that she wasn't giving the vile creature her back suddenly she couldn't see a thing. It was as if someone had simply turned the lights off. She could feel that she was still drowning in the water she just couldn't see anything. Instantly her fear spiked until it was choking her more effectively than the lack of oxygen was.

Fear quickly turned to panic but just when she was about to give in and try to breathe, despite knowing that she couldn't, she felt human lips on her own as the monster pushed the air she was seeking into her mouth and lungs. The gratitude she felt at being able to breathe for that moment was instantaneous but on it's heels was extreme anger.

She tried to pull away and glare at the monster, despite being unable to see but it quickly became obvious that he had a tight hold on the chain when she couldn't move back more than a couple inches.
