Epilogue 1

The days following Renestrae's disappearance were some of the worst for Kaloria and Evelyn. The news spread like wildfire and it wasn't long before the news stations starting coming to Fearchar. They weren't even surprised when they began seeing stations that they recognized, after all a young American woman going missing during a hunt for a serial killer was sure to make headlines.

They wanted to leave after the first day but they were still bound by the rules of the contest even if the contest winner wasn't even there. They called their parents daily to let them know they were still alive and well, well as well as they could be at any rate. It seemed they couldn't go anywhere in the small village without being asked a million questions about Renestrae's disappearance.

Evelyn was now of the strong opinion that she should punch the next person who asked her about it, but then she remembered that they needed people to like them at the moment and restrained herself. It was a shame too because some of those bottom feeding reporters really deserved it. She couldn't believe some of the things they had asked her.

When the end of the month finally came and they had to leave Evelyn didn't want to, she wanted to stay and continue searching until Renestrae was found but she knew that they needed to go home. Renestrae's parents were going to have plenty of questions that needed answering, and they would want to hear it from them not some stupid T.V interview. It was already bad enough that they had avoided calling them but they both figured that this was a conversation that they should have in person.

As they sat down at their seats on the plane Evelyn saw Kaloria tearing up again and grabbed her hand and gave her a gentle squeeze of encouragement.

"It'll be ok, Kali-"

"What do you mean it's going to be ok Renestrae is still missing?"

Evelyn's eyes fairly glowed with determination. "That's right Kali, she's still missing that means they haven't found a body and if they haven't found a body then there is still a chance that she's alive."

Kaloria sniffed. "Why do you think the murder's just stopped after Renestrae disappeared?"

" I don't know Kali, Dageus must have gotten scared." Evelyn's voice instantly took on a bitter tone.

"You don't know that he did it."

"Don't, she was with him when she disappeared, and I do not believe that bullshit lie he gave to the authorities." Evelyn took a deep calming breath. "We are not giving up on this Kali. Wherever she is we are going to find Renestrae.
