Chapter Forty-Two
Eleazar had sorted everyone with some sort of room. Tanya, Irina and Kate all crammed into one room so Emmett and Rose could have Tanya's room and Esme and I could have Irina's. Edward put his stuff in my room, Eleazar's study or bedroom. It was more of a convenience and privacy than anything else as vampires did not sleep. We were crammed together but it was fun and amazing to talk and coexist with other vampires like us.
Our hunting trips consisted of two or three but no more. We were a bunch of vampires all living under the same roof so we had to try our best to remain secret against the humans. Even more so as this wasn't our home.
Edward went to college with Kate and Tanya. Irina and Rosalie had made secure friends and so Emmett had gone with the college group too. This meant the house was empty for some time.
However at night, we were always either hunting or crowded in the same room. We would be laughing, joking and talking too. We had fun and enjoyed each other's company. It made us feel human... Even if only for a little while.
