A Stream of Consciousness

I'm forever looking for ways to express myself, not only to share my thoughts with others, but also a way to understand myself better. The one thing I want to achieve, above all, is a deep sense of self love and respect that allows me to reach a point of irrevocable happiness. I've always found something fascinating with writing down for the sake of writing and letting the pen do the talking. Often, what we think unconsciously, is what we truly believe. I tried something, and want to invite all of you to do something of a similar nature. I set myself a time limit of 5 minutes to write anything I wanted to, the only rule being that I could not cross anything out or edit things. A true stream of consciousness and thoughts in their purest, unchanged form. If I am being honest, I have not read through the words below, and frankly, I'm letting you do that for me.

My stream of consciousness:
When life knocks us down, it's easy to succumb to the pressures and live in a confined box. Embracing all that you are is no static event, and there are no strict rules. You have the control. The hunger you have and the dreams you conjure are driving forces that you should never ignore. The only thing stopping us is ultimately ourselves. No one expects you to have all the answers- frankly that's asking for the impossible. The fear of making mistakes is limiting us in every sense of the word. There are many battles in life, hardships that make us through breaking us, so don't let your own demons be one of them. Any negative situation in life is a result of the way you perceived it to be. If you can alter your attitude, you can open your eyes to a whole new world. The most successful people have come to a point in which they trust themselves. They truly, entirely and wholly believe in their capabilities. You might have it all- the money, the brains, the friends- but if you don't reach a level of self belief, none of that has any value. It isn't easy to achieve self belief, and honestly, a lot of people get through life without reaching this milestone. Happiness is not what you have, it's what you make of what you have. If you can accept your situation as it is, then you are being the best version of yourself. In adversity, the best version of you is the one that looks for the lessons that have risen from an otherwise grim situation. The ability to do this will take practice in the same way you build any skill in life, but it will get easier.
