The best thing you can do for yourself is allocate time in which you get to do the things that you enjoy. Even with the endless amounts of stress you experience on a day to day basis, this period that is often dubbed as "taking time out" is vital in personal growth. It is important to remember that evolving as a person comes from within, making this personal time vital. Do not feel guilty for taking time to immerse yourself in peace and quiet. When you are happier with yourself, everything else you do will become more proficient as a result. External stress will dissolve slightly, allowing you to focus better on the tasks at hand. There is no reason to feel selfish when allocating a time slot for yourself as the benefits are endless. Aside from feeling guilty, there is the "issue" of not having adequate time in one's day. Truthfully, this is not a problem that really exists outside your head. Decide you deserve time and you will make time. Think in advance what you would like to do during this personal time so you have something to look forward to. When something is exciting, you are likelier to make time for it. Write down a schedule if you must, in which there is an outlined time slot for your relaxation purposes. Call it whatever you please, but once you start you will value this time greatly. The results of time to recharge will be seen in daily life and you will become an all round happier person. The time you take to work on yourself will be reciprocated in the positivity levels you feel every day.
