It's one of those things where you can be something without actually being something. A metaphor. Something that represents a bigger picture. As people, we can "be lost" without actually being physically unsure of our surroundings. Being lost is a term that means to be unsure of your purpose and direction in life. We all experience it; it's a perfectly normal part of human nature. These sporadic thoughts, they occur when we feel unsure or insecure in our positions in life. The only way to get through this is to think long and hard about your morals and your journey. Everyone has a life journey, a course that their life follows. For some of us, the fatalistic ones, we feel that this is pre-determined. We feel the stars have their own alignment that translates into our destinies. Then there are those amongst us who do not feel that the universe has a set plan that our lives follow. As they say, "Each to their own." However, it doesn't matter which side of the fence you sit on, for a path is still a path. In keeping with this theory, which will here on be dubbed as "the life path," there are a few simple principles. First of all, it is certain that you are the key factor in "the life path." Everything you achieve is because of the steps you have taken and the lengths you are willing to take. Coming back to our original dilemma: when you cannot see this path clearly things can get overwhelming. The best thing to do is to breathe. Nothing ends well when one is worked up. Next, do whatever it takes to make you feel relaxed. Personally, a nice cuppa is my go to form of relaxation. Then, turn to writing a list. Lists are incredible in the way they put things into perspective. Jot down the things you stand for or things you believe in. Essentially, you are reminding yourself of the morals you hold. Then ensure you know your goals. You aren't expected to have it all mapped out, so even a simple goal such as being happy will suffice. From there, it is in your hands. Listen to your heart as it tells you how to achieve your goals and stay on the right path. If you are still incredibly lost, seeking help is a bright idea. Someone who knows you will be able to help out. Above all, be patient and positive. Good things take time and to redeem the rewards you have to understand this. Also realise that everyone gets confused at times, you are most certainly not a lone wolf when it comes to this. As long as you stay positive, remind yourself what matters, and be patient, things will click into place.
