The other day as I went for my usual morning stroll in the sultry, summer air, I saw a young girl sitting in the park. Though not an irregular occurrence, I could tell from a mile away that something was wrong; something in her demeanour, in the way her head was kept down. Being the irritatingly determined person I am, I set out to cheer her up. As one can imagine, she didn't take too well to a stranger attempting to talk to her, but she eventually opened up. She said something about the way the universe seemed to be dealing her bad cards. Not asking too many questions in fear of coming across nosey and insensitive, I went on to give her some timely advice. I told her, word for word, that "it is the pain that fuels our journey. If we do not experience heartache, what exactly we are striving for will remain unknown. Obstacles in life are merely that; the harder the challenge is, the more glory in overcoming it. Without sadness, one does not know the feeling of happiness. Keep your head up, for the universe has a spectacular plan for you, my dear."
