I leaned my head against the breakfast table. Harold snored all night.....all FRICKIN night...

Duncan had his head also propped on the table. He had deep bags under his eyes, and I felt pity for him. He had to actually sleep in the same room with Harold, much less the cabin.

"You alright?" I asked.

"Do I look alright?"

"Okay, sorry. Listen, I'm just as tired as you are."

"Duncan! You look like crap!" Chris cried.

"Stuff it." he groaned.

Suddenly, the door swung open, and Harold walked in. He had a Sharpie-made mustache on his face, and I snickered. As he sat down in front of me, I tossed him a spoon.

"Yo, dork. Look at your face," I sniggered.

He checked out his reflection. "Sweet stache," he said dreamily.

"Your next challenge begins in ten minutes! I'd be prepared to bring it!" Chris yelled.

*****

We were at a large, thick-glass made structure that was set up like a basketball court, well, in our case, dodgeball.

Duncan threw himself upon the bleachers.  "Wake me up, and it'll be the last thing you do," he threatened.

Chef blew the whistle, then Chris explained all of the rules.

"Gophers, you'll have to sit one member out."

We all got in a huddle. "Okay, so who's gonna sit out?" Courtney asked. Apparently, only five people were supposed to be on each team per game.

I raised my hand. Courtney rolled her eyes, then nodded.

"You can lose the attitude," I muttered, walking over to the bleachers.

"Hey, Princess", Duncan mumbled.

"I thought you were sleeping,"

"Yeah, but I kinda can't."

"What do you mean? Just close your eyes."

"Well, now you're here to distract me."

I blushed, not knowing what to think of that. "No comment."

"Whatever."

The game started, and my mouth dropped open. We're dead.

Tyler grabbed a ball, spun his arm around, released it, and then it shot into Sadie's face. She collapsed onto the bleacher. Ouch.

Finally, it was down to DJ and Katie against Cody. I rolled my eyes. This punk is going down.

Cody tossed the ball, and it hit DJ straight in the ass. He then rubbed the ball along his shirt, I guess creating static, and threw it at Katie. It chased her around the court a few times, but it finally caught up to her, and we lost the first round.

For the next round, I volunteered myself out once more, and we also lost that round.

"Hey! Its 2-0!" Heather reminded us. I groaned.

"Okay, this is really bad. One more game to them, and we'll lose the whole challenge. Again! We can't let that happen. We need someone strong, someone mean, someone who will crush those stupid Gophers into the dirt!" Courtney said. Her eyes drifted to me and Duncan.

"Uh, no. Sorry, I don't do dodgeball."

"Do you do elimination? Because that's where you're headed if you don't step up to the game." she snapped.
