Here's all of my injuries! Some of them are quite comical.
1. Hyperextended index finger - I hit my finger on a lane line, and wore it in a metal splint for like, a week. It made my cooking class very difficult.
2. Sprained index and middle finger - we were doing starts, all out. I dove in. My goggles fell off (figures) I thought, "well, it's all out, so I better go fast." I went fast, turned to breathe, and saw the flags. I was like "better stop" and just as I was thinking that, my hand slammed into the wall.
3. Kicked in the ribcage - sharks and minnows. Need I say more?
4. Black eye with cut - we were playing sharks and minnows, and I was one of the Sharks. I tried pulling a girl up, and got kicked in the face by another. Ouch.
5. Head hit on wall - at a/b finals, I was doing the 200 back. I was almost done, I looked back, and saw the wall was close, but not close enough to do the finish. I took another stroke, and hit my head in the wall.
6. Hand on head - on numerous occasions, I have hit my hand on the heads of people who are in the lane next to me. Many, many times.
7. Gouged open my foot - at a swim meet, I was getting out of the water after our starts. My foot went behind my other, and sliced open my heel on my other foot. Blood went EVERYWHERE.
8. Cut on toe - when we were putting lane lines in, somebody dropped one on my foot, effectively cutting it open.
9. Injured hand - this one is actually pretty funny; I was dreaming. And I had a dream I was swimming backstroke. And the announcer guy was like "take your mark"...and then the beep. Well, when I heard the beep, I actually tried to do a backstroke start. I hit my hand on the wall behind my bed. Needless to say, I woke up before I finished the race.
