There was a spider, and it was reasonably big, so, naturally, everybody was freaking out.
Matt, our coach, comes over and flicks at it as though that's gonna help and then suddenly, this girl just picks up a kick board and whacks it at the spider and then the spider is no more.
Our head coach is like "it might have had a family!" And we just look at her like "seriously. We're not four." And then, this other girl, she's like "actually, it probably didn't because female spiders bight the heads off males after they're done mating" and we're all just like wonderful.
