So, I realized this hasn't been having many tips, tricks, and ideas. I appologize. This has become more of a rant book about swimming.
Anyways.
So, when the season s are really long and boring *cough*kick sets and distance sets*cough*, you probably get bored. These things are what I do when I get bored.
1. Sing. Always, always, always. Pick a song at the beginning of practice, and just sing. You can make it really dramatic, or writ alternate lyrics, or sing in a monotone.
2. Study. Need to study for that mat test? Recite formulas in your head. How bout that history test? Think about dates. For me, I have a piece of Shakespere's A Midsummer Night's Dream that I needed to memorize, so that was what I worked on. Now, I have it almost completely memorized.
3. Make up stories or poetry in your head. I once wrote an entire poem about Harry Potter during practice. It was amazing, and I was very proud with how it turned out because I could fine tune it, and I had the time to fine tune it.
