So, we did 20x25s. Now, my brain will be able to count to the first four, maybe eight, tops, before getting distracted, but with this trick, I got all the way to 20. What you do is create a little sentence, or phrase where it rhymes with whatever number you're on (at 13, we started back at rhyming with three otherwise we would have 6 in a row that rhymed with "teen").
Here are the twenty rhymes we came up with.
1. We're nowhere near done
2. I've got the glue!
3. My cat is stuck up the tree!
4. We have so many more
5. We couldn't think of anything that rhymed with 5. I know, we're a disappointment because I'm sure there are tons out there, but at that point we had been swimming for a good 2 hours, many weren't thinking straight and beginning to get a little loopy.
6. Start on the mix
7. This sure isn't heaven
8. "Make America great!" (This kept our lane laughing for so long we almost missed the interval)
9. I don't feel fine
10. We're nearing the end!
11. Four more than seven!
12. Put it on a shelve (yes, we knew that wasn't proper grammar, but twelve is very hard to rhyme with)
13. My cat got down the tree!
14. Only six more!
15. See 5
16. He's straight from the hicks
17. Four less than eleven
18. G'day mate!
19. I'll be just fine
20. Boy, being finished sure does feel funny
(Bonus: yell "21 now we're done" instead of the idea for 20. Yes, it is 21, but if you're done, particularly with practice, it will be worth it.)
