Here's everything that's wrong
1. If you are at a competitive swim meet, you are not going to "randomly" select swimmers. There will be some bias, because, unless your coach is an idiot, they will choose the best swimmers for the job.
2. In my experience, if a team is only 8 swimmers, they will all have pretty equal skills, and three will not be the "strongest"
3. This is the second time this week it has happened. This is just getting ridiculous.
