A/N: I'm going to keep this short because I can't wait to get writing(: I'm just going to say that this chapter is gonna be really dramatic, I'll do my best but I really don't know how well it's going to turn out, hopefully it won't be a complete fail.
CHAPTER 18
(Harry's POV)
"All right boys, I think we're done for today," Toby, one of our sound engineers, tapped on the glass window of the recording room and beckoned for us to come out.
I pulled the chunky headphones off of me and ran a hand through my hair, following the other boys as they filed out the door.
I dropped into a leather spinny chair near the recording equipment and waited for Toby's overview.
"I'm not sure I'm liking the length of your solo, Louis; I'm gonna ask Savan to rewrite it a bit longer, if that's okay." he said, fiddling with one of the thousands of knobs and dials laid out in front of him. "Other than that, it's great, the album's going to be a big success, I'm sure."
We were released from the studio soon after, walking out into the evening air and being met by the usual group of cameramen. An oddly large amount of them were gathered this time.
Two of our bodyguards (one of them being Andy) flanked us on either side, blocking the cameras from getting closer to us - but we still had to push and shove our way to the car waiting for us.
"Harry, have you seen the most recent article written about you?" I heard someone shout to my left.
"Twist recently released an article that revealed much about your private life, how do you feel about that?" Someone waved a microphone near my head and I brushed it away, ignoring their question once again.
"The article is rumored to be written by your girlfriend, Elizabeth Collins. Any comments?"
I froze.
Elizabeth? Writing about me for her Twist magazine?
Someone from behind me (Andy, probably) shoved me forward, signaling for me to keep moving.
It had to be a rumor. Of course, it was a rumor. How could I think any differently?
"Tina Donvito, editor in chief of Twist magazine, confirms that Elizabeth Collins is indeed the author of this article. How do you feel about this, Mr. Styles?" Another microphone popped up in front of me, and I batted it away a little too forcefully.
I didn't want to believe a word of it, but as my heart hammered in my chest I knew that I had to find out.
As I was jostled towards the car, I tried to put the thought out of my mind, but the tugging at the pit of my stomach refused to go away.
At the last minute, I turned away from our car, causing Andy to grab hold of the hem of my shirt. "Harry, what are you doing." he snapped.
"I'm going to take my own car today, if you don't mind," I called out without turning back, shouldering past a few photographers that were getting a little too close.
I stuck my hand into the pocket of my jeans and fished out my car keys as I walked briskly to the other end of the lot, where my Audi was parked. I tugged open the door, slid into the driver's seat and stuck the keys into the ignition in one swift motion.
Gripping the wheel tightly as my thoughts slowly drove me insane, I headed for Elizabeth's.
***
(Elizabeth's POV)
My thumb hovered over Harry's name in my contact list, my stomach turning somersaults.
Should I call him and tell him now? Or wait for him to find out on his own, so it could be more of a cute surprise? The article was getting loads of press, seeing as it was a never before seen perspective of the 'real' Harry. And, of course, it was written by yours truly, his loving girlfriend.
