Chapter 12

Scarlet POV

Emille and scarlet stopped by a restaurant to have dinner ,  that long run really tired them . They were sitting on a table just near the door , the hotel was not too lavish but a small and simple hotel , that's what they could afford

Scarlet was still thinking  about that attack and how ran's brother saved her from him , and also a bit scared about him and she frequently looked outside to see if someone followed her but there was no one suspicious enough

Just then emille spoke up " scar stop thinking about that attack and eat "

Scarlet smiled " you are right maybe i should just stop thinking about it "

Emille took the sandwich in her hands and shoved it in her mouth , this made scarlet laugh hard , emille finished chewing it and grinned

Soon Scarlet's tummy was full , " enough I can't eat anymore " emille nodded her head , they went to the front desk and paid the bill

They exited the restaurant and walked to the parking , and got inside the car , emille started to drive , " I think you should not come to work tomorrow , what if that man comes back again ? " scarlet nodded her head " you are right I should not come to work tomorrow , I'll call winter and inform her "

Then they fell silent , the city was quite the streets were abandoned  , there were  just some men who were returning home after work , soon they stopped at a traffic signal

They were cars zooming on the other side , she saw a huge car on the other side of the road , suddenly she caught a glimpse of cinder inside the car , scarlet was shocked , cinder was writhing and two men were holding her

"Emille follow that car , quick " emille did as she said "why? " she asked , scarlet panicked " I think they are kidnapping cinder , we need to save her " emille's eyes widened " what ? " scarlet said " even i dont know the reason , lets find out "

the car was zooming across the road but emille didn't lose them she still couldn't understand the reason of why they were kidnapping cinder

Suddenly the car took a turn in an abandoned street , they entered inside a big house which was dark , emille stopped the car behind a huge tree

They got down and crept towards the house

Just as they went near the house they could see two men just like ran guarding the house

Feat jolted through scarlets sternum , she didn't want to go and voluntarily get caught

Emille noticed it too and stopped walking " scar lets go back I don't want to bump into that dangerous boyfriend of yours "

Scarlet glared at her and whisper-shouted at her " we need to save cinder she is our friend and don't call that guy my boyfriend "

Emille grinned earning another glare from scarlet , they went near the house

Emille caught Scarlet's hand " scarlet how will we enter ? " scarlet joked " maybe we should get kidnapped too "

Emille glared " yeah I don't think we will come out in one piece "

Scarlet grinned and shook her head " alright no more jokes we have to find a way to enter "

They both thought for sometime scarlet said " let's go around the compound maybe we can find a hole to creep through , this building sure is old "

They walked to the other side , there was a hole big enough to fit in both , but it was a sewage hole , scarlet walked near it

" let's go " she said , emille grimaced " I will not get inside that dirty thing " scarlet glared " it's alright no one is going to judge as by our appearance , now come on "

Scarlet and  emille crept through the hole , emille made sounds showing disgust all the time

They reached the end of the tunnel and looked out there was no one guarding this part , sacrlet came out and helped emille

Emille scowled at her clothes , she was covered with mud and so was scarlet

They crept towards the corner , there was no one there too , they crept and were careful not to alert the guards

As they were about to turn someone bumped into them , scarlet looked at that man terrified that they would get caught , it was ran's brother

Emille shrunk down , scarlet took a step back and was ready to run bit he caught her hand

" you are a friend of that girl cinder right?" Scarlet nodded her head , 

He looked around and came closer , scarlet decided to push him back

He whispered " look get your friend cinder and escape from here , it's way too dangerous , I don't know what levana was planning on but you need escape with her right now "

Scarlet asked " but how? " he said " I am her guard , my shift ends in another few minutes and I have to guard another person whom levana has kidnapped and I can help you to get to her , now you two follow me " scarlet asked " thank you so much and what's your name ? " he hesitated and replied " it's wolf "

They entered the house , wolf punched a code and the door opened , they walked through a dark corridor , they reached the end of the corridor

There was a door at the middle , wolf took a key from his pocket and opened the door

Cinder was sitting inside with her face pressed between her knees , scarlet called her " cinder ? " cinder looked up

She whipped her tears " scarlet ? Emille !" she got up and hugged scarlet , scarlet returned the embrace

Scarlet pushed her to arms length " now we need to get out of here come on "

Cinder smiled and nodded , she walked near the door and saw wolf , she took a step back

" don't worry he is on our side " cinder was puzzled , scarlet sighed " that's a long story I'll tell it later "

Soon they ran through the corridor , just as they were about to exit the house an old man bumped into us

He shook his head and looked at cinder his eyes widened he caught her hand

Wolf flexed his shoulders ready to fight but that old man didn't look at him or scarlet , his gaze was fixed on cinder

He finally spoke up "who are you child? "

cinder hesitantly answered " cinder "

He said " you are the one I have been searching for all these years "
