Castiel/Child!Reader

Note: Reader is about 5-6 years old.

The ashes burned your (s/c) skin, leaving reddish welts where they met. Your chest heaved from exhaustion as you carried your tiny body through the forest. The blistering heat made you (h/c) hair twist and curl, as if they were trying to avoid the flames as well. Your mind was in full panic mode, for a six year old, you could run quickly, given the enormous amount of adrenaline pumping through your body. The trees around you groaned, their bark being eaten away by the fire, brown leaves and dried grass feeding the flames further.

You remember your mother tucking you in, wrapping a thick blanket over you to chase away the cold. The fireplace was burning, but you had no heat in your house, you were too far out for that. Your family lived off the land, you were farmers, but turned into hunters when hunting season came around. If was a dry summer, the fall had even lesser rainfall, and your family was struggling. Your felt sleep cloud your eyes, but a sinister smell wafted to your nose. Your mother darted in, ripping you from the bed. Thankfully, you had your stuffed, yellow Pikachu in your grip, which eased your fears.

Your mother tossed you outside, screaming at you to run into the woods. She disappeared back inside, just as the flames licked up the ratted, wooden roof. Obeying your mother, you ran, only stopping when the house caved in, screams of agony piercing their way through the roar of fire.

Now you were hopelessly lost, with flames biting at your bare feet. Screaming for help only made the smoke clog your lungs quicker, but you still tried.

"Help! Help me! Someone!" Your cries were drowned out by the fire.

Sharp twigs slapped your face, tearing skin as you pushed your way through the burning underbrush.

Suddenly the flame seemed to run in the opposite direction, bending away from you as cool, clean air blew around you. Two warm arms wrapped around your waist, lifting you up into the air. In confusion you dropped Pikachu, screaming out as the animal was devoured by flames.

You turned around, burying your face in the person who lifted you above the flame. You were lifted higher into the air, the forest growing smaller as the person flew you away. When you opened your eyes, you were met with crystal eyes.

"I will protect you, (y/n). You are safe with me." The man said, landing in a room.

You turn around, finding yourself in a huge room. Two men leap from a table, one tall with long hair and the other one was short with green eyes.

"Cas, what in the hell?" The short man says, walking over to you two.

"I just saved this girl from a forest fire. She has no one else to live with and she would have died if I hadn't saved her." He explains, as you bury your head in his trench coat one again.

"Cas, she's a child. This is no life for a child. Just take her to an orphanage, she'll go home to a happy family. She'll live a normal life." The tall one says.

You peer out of the trenchcoat, running away from the strange men. You dart down the halls, the only noise is the pitter patter of your aching feet hitting the cold floor. You hear the men calling out your name, so you open up the nearest door, silently slipping inside it. Shutting the door quietly behind you, you find yourself in a huge room, with shelves filled with what looks like books.

"Moose? Is that your pitter patter I hear?" A British voice floats from one of the book shelves.

Confused, you push on a book shelf, the whole thing opening up like a door. You peer inside, a huge concrete room with some sort of symbol drawn on the floor. In the middle of it sits a man, handcuffed to the chair with a table in front of him.
