"Tr-" I stumble on my words.
"Tobias..." She says out of breathe, I run over to her put her head on my shoulder and my arms around her. I start to cry hard. As my grip tightens only a little on her because I know she must be in pain from her bullet wounds.
"Oh Tobias.." She says sympathetically as I start to feel tears on my shoulder. I eventually break our hug and take Tris' head in my hands and just look at her, how beautiful she is. Her eyes, her nose, her lips. Especially that little crease in between her eyes brows. Then I kiss each of those places in turn like I used to in Dauntless. Her crease, the tip of her nose, and then I fit my mouth to hers and stay there. I never knew I could love someone this much, but I can, with Tris.

A nurse comes in the G.L. after a while, and stitches up Tris' wounds. I hold her hand even though I know she's strong enough. When she's done her work, on Tris' arm and hip, because that's where her wounds are, Tris stands up I hug her again. I still haven't really said anything I just want her close to me. I take her hand and we go to the closest room, and find it partially furnished. The same room I told her she was beautiful in. I close the door and look at her.
"You're quite in shock." She says, and I just look at her.
"Tobias, could you tell me what you were doing when I was in a coma?" We must've mistaken her coma as death.
"I-" I start and then swallow. "Could we sit down?" I take her hand and she guides me to a sofa.
"I didn't do anything." I say,
"I just sat on my bed thinking about you, and about us." My words end sounding like a question.
"I was grieving, I just stared at a wall all day, and... night. I know it's not something you would've wanted but I just hurt too much to do anything. I ate sometimes. Usually waited four days before I ate again." Tris' lower lip is slightly wobbling and I know she may just cry.
"I'm so sorry Tobias." She says shakily. I don't care about talking anymore I just need this space between us crushed. I lift her legs and lay them across my lap, and kiss her. She wraps her arms around my neck and I hold her waist and pull her closer. After a short while I pull away and say,
"I love you so much Tris,"
"I love you too." She says. For the rest of the night we stay in that room and just talk, and eventually we fall asleep.

"Aha!" Matthew says turning to us from his computer. Me and Tris had to figure out what was going on so we found Matthew in his office the next day.
"Surprisingly it had nothing to do with Tris' pure genetics!" He excitedly says.
"Then how-" Tris starts but he cuts her off.
"It's quite simple actually. The blood clotted over your wounds and stopped the bleeding, but since you lost so much blood, it sent you into a coma shortly after you got shot. So by the time I found you in the weapons lab, I thought you were gone."
"So was it something similar to the death serum too? How did I survive that?" Tris kindly asks.
"That was the helpful work of your genes, Beatrice. We're all so glad to have you back." I smile at her and say,
"Especially me." And then I kiss her. She laughs a little and I just smile even more.
"Oh wait a second," Matthew says looking back at his computer.
"Tris would you mind heading to the lab for me? Tobias you can join her, you may want to hear this if I'm correct." We do as he says and Tris sits on the metal table she already lay on once before, the thought of that sends a chill through my spine.

Matthew enters the room shortly after holding some weird stick looking thing.
"Tris, I'm going to need you to, um, do your business on this end in the bathroom. It's just down the hall." Tris looks kind of disgusted but we have gained trust for Matthew. She goes down the hallway and comes back shortly. We sit on the table for a while waiting and then Matthew comes in front of us and says.
"Tris, I think you're going to be a great mother to the child that you are carrying." Tris looks at me, worried. I wrap my arms around her and rub her back, I smile to let her know that this is good news to me and not bad. She cries into my shoulder.
"Tris it's going to be okay, you'll be an amazing mother and I will promise to be a great father." I reassure her as I rub her back some more. Then she holds my hand.
"How did it not die with me getting shot?" She asks.
"The wounds weren't too severe so the baby was unaffected. You're about two months along." Matthew says smiling.
"Congratulations." He says
