Tris POV.
One month later...

I'm sitting at a table eating lunch with Tobias, Christina, Zeke, Shauna, and Caleb, it's a beautiful and warm sunny afternoon, it's not a very hot summer this year round, which is nice.
"How are you doing Beatrice?  You know with the baby and all?" Caleb asks,
"Good! Although I haven't felt it kick at all yet, which is confusing me.." Tobias grabs my hand and gives it a light squeeze, I look at him and smile, his big dark blue eyes crinkle as he smiles back.
"I can't believe I'm going be an aunt!" Christina says excitedly. I slightly laugh, I don't have a sister so I told Christina she could take on the role of his or her aunt. I'm not sure if I've ever seen her so happy, other than the time I allowed her to apply dark makeup to my eyes which made me look older in Dauntless.
"I think we should head back to our room." Tobias suggests. We got an apartment together not too long ago so that we had an actual home for us and the baby.
"Okay!" I say lightly. Hand in hand we walk to our room leaving the others to talk amongst themselves. As we enter our home, I walk to my room and sit on the bed, and Tobias walks in shortly after me.
"Wow.. the baby has really shown in the last three months. You're going to be a good mom Tris." He says sitting down with me kissing my forehead.
"You'll be an even better father," I retort. He lightly snorts
"I hope so.." He says.

The Bureau's intercoms goes off through the whole building revealing Matthews voice, he calmly says
"Ladies and gents, I am glad to inform you, our rescue team went through the city of Chicago, and cleared it for safety, and those who prefer, may travel in a truck to the inside of the fence and ride the train in town and find a home."
I look at Tobias in shock, we were sleeping for a while but when we awoke, we just decided to talk.
"I didn't even know they wer-"
Tobias cuts me off.
"Clearing the city? Me neither. We could go back if that's something you would like Tris." He gently says caressing my arm.
"I'd love that." I say smiling.
"Tobias?" I say to him,
"Yea?" He asks, all I do is look at him and he speaks up,
"What is it?"
"I haven't felt the baby kick yet and it's been three months.." I nervously say.
"I'm sure everything is fine. I was wondering, since we have nothing to do today, want to go find out the gender of our child?" He asks resting a warm hand on my stomach.
"I don't think that would be a bad idea." I reply quietly.
"Let's go!" I calmly say.

Tobias POV.
Tris puts on her shoes and we walk down to the infirmary, and Tris quietly mumbles something to the front desk clerk. She finally give us directions in a hushed voice and we obey. When Tris stops in front of a door than says Room 104, Dr. Niomi Hainley. Tris knocks and a young woman, probably in her late twenties answers.
"Hello Niomi!" Tris says hugging the girl. Has she met her before? Because they seem to already have.
"Tris! Come in, come in." She gestures for us to enter her office which includes of a hospital chair, a small screen, a desk chair and cabinets.
"This must be the lucky Father!" Niomi says.
"I sure am." I say with a proud smile. Niomi snaps on rubber gloves as holds out her hand for me to shake "Niomi Hainley, but you can just call me Niomi." I shake her hand and say "Tobias Eaton."
"So what can I do for you today?" She asks happily.
"We wanted to find out the gender of the baby today!" Tris explains.
"Well you're about three months along so I think we will be able to identify its gender!" Niomi exclaims. She puts a clear gel on Tris' round stomach and grabs a wand looking thing and a dark moving circle appears on the screen. It must be Tris' stomach. I decide to break the silence that occurs every once in a while after Niomi's few "Mhms" and "Ohs!" And ask
"So have you and Tris already met?"
"Yea! She used to come in every once in a while and asked questions about the child." Well better Tris came here than ask me because I wouldn't know. After a short while Niomi speaks up.
"I can't quite seem to identify it but if my guess is correct I think it's a baby girl! Let me go check on something, be back shortly." Niomi leaves the room.
"A girl. Sounds perfect to me." I say Tris smiles and holds out her hand and I take it, she squeezes it and I squeeze back. Niomi comes back with a blank face. "I found out why I couldn't quite make out the image but I was correct, baby girl." She says slowly. She seems to have lost all her energy, what's going on? "Have you felt any kicking from the baby recently?" She asks. Tris hesitates before answering.
"No, no I haven't actually felt any kicking ever since she developed." Niomi's face goes a little pale and she leans back onto the counter. "Tris, I'm sorry to inform you this but, I believe you have a miscarriage.." Niomi flows her words so their off her chest. Tris blinks, and says,
"What?" Her voice cracking. Niomi's eyes tear up and says,
"The baby passed away.. I'm so sorry Tris and Tobias."  Tris looks at me in awe and tears spring up in her eyes, and she sobs into my shirt. I feel my eyebrows furrow in extreme sadness and sympathy for Tris.
"Oh honey!" Niomi says walking over to Tris hugging her so tightly. We all kind of have a group hug in that moment.
"I'm so sorry this stuff keeps happening to you Tris." I apologize.
