Tris POV.

I'm walking to the first place that comes to mind, the Chasm. I don't know what it is, probably something with the water which calms me. I'm walking down the sides of the pit when I feel a sharp pain in my back, I fall to the floor and I just manage to see a syringe with way too much peace serum in it. Darkness then consumes me.

I wake up in a dark room, the room only lighted by the moon outside. The ground beneath me is carpeted, where am I? I attempt to move my legs, and I can. I stand up and find my way around, letting my eyes adjust. I finally approach a wall, I then feel something on the flat surface, a light switch. I turn it on and lean against the door in shock. I'm in Tobias' bedroom in Abnegation. The first thing that catches my eye is the blue glass sculpture in his nightstand, the one his mother smuggled in for him when he was a kid. I remember him telling me that story.. I turn to the door and go to open it, but it's locked. I think of everyone who has access to this house. I think I know what happened and who did it. I immediately notice his bedroom window and go to open it, it's locked. "Shit!" I mutter to myself. I hear the door unlocking and I run to where I was before and sit on the floor. "Well, well, well." Marcus says. I knew it. "Good to see you again, well.. awake Beatrice." He says with a sinister tone and an ugly smug smile. "That's Tris to you!" I spit the words. "Why am I here, what do you want?" I plead. "I'm using you so that I can speak to my son. Hopefully he finds the note I left in three days or I'm going to shoot you." He claps his hands together. "You sick twiste-" I'm cut off by Marcus' chuckling. "Sweetie you're just a foolish, Dauntless junkie. I suggest you stay put and don't let your foolishness get ahead of you." I am not a Dauntless junkie! I'm a strong, and daunting sixteen year old girl. I gained that confidence from Tobias. "How dare you." I say to him, narrowing my eyes. "You're nothing but an abusive scum bag who does nothing for anyone but himself!" I yell. "You shouldn't have said that Beatrice." He warns "What are you going to do? Hit me?" I'm not scared of Marcus, I'm stronger than he is and I can fight him. Marcus exits the room and comes back shortly with a belt... oh no. I already know he's going to take a few slashes at my back, like he used to do to Tobias. Marcus corners me, pins my arms in front of me and lifts of my shirt revealing my back. "Untouched... that'll change fast." He says. He throws my shirt onto the floor leaving my upper body only in undergarments. I turn and he cracks the belt against my stomach, it startles me and then I hunch over clutching at my middle. He ends up hitting my entire torso, just above my eye, and my cheeks, leaving me bleeding everywhere. He then drops the belt and walks over to me and says, "This is for your own good." He starts punching me in the face until I'm unconscious.

I wake up to partially see the room lit with day light. I can't help but notice Marcus has handcuffed me to the bed. I feel my face, my eye is swollen shut, my lips are completely cracked and bleeding, and my face is bruised everywhere. I then see a tray of food on Tobias' bed, I am not too worried to eat right now so I sit back down. When I do, my entire back stings, and here and there it bleeds a little, making me wince. I hope Tobias finds me..

Tobias POV.

I pack nothing. I just jumped onto the train, I'm heading to the Abnegation sector. I need to find Tris. I can't stop thinking about her state right now, Marcus couldn't done anything.. and with my past I know it could be nothing good. I'm just entering the sector when I jump off the train and start to sprint to house number ten, the only thing on my mind is Tris. I pound on the door so hard I'm scared it may break, yet again this is Marcus' house so I don't care. "Marcus open up!" I yell in my instructor voice. I can hear muffled screams and right before I bust down the door, Marcus opens it.

"Why hel-" I cut Marcus off by saying "Where is she?" Marcus opens his mouth and says "Now son, that wasn't a part of the plan, I would like to speak to you first."
"I will not let you use Tris to get to me!" I scream at him. I then push him to the floor and sprint upstairs. I still hear muffled screams, forming my name, coming from my room. I go to open the door and it's locked. I pound at it repeatedly with my elbow and eventually bust the door. I see Tris on the floor handcuffed to my bed, her eye swollen, her face bruised in every place and her lips cracked and bleeding, her shirt is also on the floor. "Tris oh my god!" I shout. I go and unlock the handcuffs with the key Marcus conveniently left just out of Tris' reach, what a dirt bag. I help her up and my hands get blood on them, I turn her around and see slashes covering her entire torso and back. He did to her what he did to me. No, thats not right. I also notice slashes across her stomach. "Tobias I'm sorry I got mad at you, I was going to work things out with you later that night but then-"

"You don't need to apologize Tris." I say holding her. I pick her up Bridal style, with an arm under the back of her knees, and the other across her back. She holds onto my neck and buries her face into my chest. I walk out of that house and sit her on the steps. "I'll be back in a minute." I say. I walk back and pick Marcus up by the collar of his shirt and punch him in the face several times. I then say to him in an intimidating voice, "Come near my family again and you're as good as dead." I immediately push in into a chair and handcuff him to the bars on the back of the chair. I walk out of his house and end up throwing the key into the shrubs on the front lawn, so that it'll take him s while to find, and if it's too late, he starves. I close the door, and then carry Tris to the train and we go home. I'm not letting her out of my sight for a long time.

We get to our apartment, and I set Tris on the bed and go get a wash cloth. I come back and lightly dab at the cuts on her back to at least slightly clean them. I could use anti-bacterial peroxide but it would sting and I don't want to put her through anymore pain. "I'm so sorry this happened to you Tris."
"These are going to be some bad scars.." she almost whimpers from the pain. I go around and look her dead in the eye. "I love you no matter how you look. Here.. look at this." I turn around and lift my shirt up in one swift motion, I show her my back and she looks closely. She's obviously not noticed my scars before because she quietly gasps a little. "I have them too, see?" I say in a reassuring voice. I can feel her small hands on my back, and I turn back around and look into her eyes again. I lightly dab the cuts on her lips and then kiss her slowly, cupping her face in my hands. She eventually pulls back for air and I go get a loose, and flowy shirt from her wardrobe and cover her with it. God I feel so bad.
