Missing

Chapter Eighteen

Tris POV.

I wake to Tobias with his strong arms wrapped around me and the warm morning sun warming my cheeks. I touch Tobias' hand which is covering my raven tattoo and it wakes him.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you." I slightly whisper.
"It's alright." He says with a smile. I let go of his hand look at my beautiful ring.
"It's going to be perfect you know," I say "Our wedding." He gently takes my hand in his and turns it so he can see the ring as well. He then interlocks his fingers with mine.
"I planned an engagement party for us tonight, everyone is invited."
"Does everyone know?"
"Here's when you'll find out." He pulls out a silver square object with a round black glass circle in the middle, on the opposite side of the box like thing is a small screen and multiple buttons.
"I got it from the Bureau, they call it a portable camera." He adds. He presses a button with a red circle on it and then turns the lens to face us.
"Good morning friends and family!" He starts, It must be recording so I go along with it and wave with a smile pressed to my face. Tobias still has his arm around me.
"Just letting you all know Tris and I got engaged last night on the Ferris wheel!" I lift my hand to show them the ring.
"Engagement party at my place tonight your invited!" He finishes. Tobias then turns the camera and presses the same button again. "What was that?" I politely ask. "It's an invitation I'm going to send it to them through email." I nod and then stand. I check my watch and it reads two thirty. "Tobias! It's two thirty in the afternoon!" He sits and scratches his head "Wow. Must've been up late! Let's get you back to the apartment so you can get ready."

Five hours later...

I end up wearing blue jeans with rips in the knees, white shoes with the name Converse on them, and a grey tee shirt. I curled my hair and am wearing light makeup with a slight nude lipstick. When I walk out to the living room Uriah, Zeke, Christina, Caleb, and Shauna who's standing. Wait! She's standing! "Shauna!" I yell. I run up her and hug her. She chuckles and when I pull away I grasp her shoulders and look her up and down. "Look at you! I didn't know you were walking again! Congrats!!" I say smiling. "Thank you Tris, but if anything congrats to you, can I see the ring?" I lift my hand and she gasps. "It's beautiful! Does it represent Abnegation and Dauntless?"
"Yea! And the ten diamonds represent me and four because he has four fears and I have six and four plus six is ten." She just 'awwws'.

After a while I greet everyone and get lots of congrats, I wish my mother and father could be here for my engagement, but I'm sure their watching over. I decide to shout at the top of my lungs. "LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!" Everyone cheers and raises their red cups.

After a while more people have heard the music blairing and joined in on the party which is cool. I find myself very dizzy and everything spins and then I realize I'm drunk. I haven't seen Four, I mean Tobias, all night I'll find him. I stumble around and then I see him and I bump into him. "Heyy!!" I shout waving my hand in a fist with my pinky and thumb sticking out showing him to hang loose. He laughs, "Hello Tris. You feeling all right?" I fall flat on my butt and raise my cup and say "for surrrreee!"

Tobias POV.

Tris falls on her butt and lifts up her glass and yells "four surrrreee!" I have never seen her drunk so I just keep laughing. I realize it has been a very very long night so I stop the music and almost in unison every stops jumping around and looks at me. I yell "Everyone out!" Everyone leaves and surprisingly there's no mess. Tris is now laying on the floor her cup slowly tipping. I run to her and say "No no." And I take the cup, dump it down the sink, and throw the cup out. I then pick Tris up and lay her on the bed. I stroke her forehead lightly and ask "Do you feel sick?" She shakes her head no and I say alright. I roll her to the opposite side of the bed. "We gotta get you to bed." I go to her dresser and pull out a very long t shirt that's striped and some shorts. "Tris I'm going to help you get changed okay?" I say and she nods. I pull her jeans off and help her step into her shorts, and then I pull her shirt off and put the striped shirt on over. I then out her clothes in the hamper and grab a wet towel. I slowly wipe the makeup off her face, and then I lay her down. I lay down beside her and kiss her on the cheek and then wrap my arms around her and sleep.

TIME LAPSE TO ONE YEAR LATER.

Tris POV.

Mine and Tobias' wedding is in a few months and I'm so excited! I'm now eighteen. Tobias is sick so today I'm initiating the transfers today. I'm making my way down to the net and I see Zeke and Lauren already standing there. "Hey guys!" I say with a smile. "Hey Tris, where's Four?" Lauren asks, "He's really sick so unfortunately he doesn't get to train today because he's resting." I kick a rock with my shoe.

After a few minutes a scream projects getting louder and then a bundle of white and black hits the net.

I start off with "Hello I'm your instructor Six." Then a Candor, Christian. Says "Six? Like the number?" I walk up to him and lean in close to his face and say "Christian? Is that right?" He nods slowly. Leaning back. "Well.. Christian. The first thing you'll learn from me is to keep your mouth shut. If I wanted to deal with Candor smart mouths I would've joined their faction." I walk back and say "As I was saying. And then something hits the net. I run over to it and see a bundle of grey... I reach out for a small warm hand and pull out a young abnegation girl. I smile because I know she'll get picked on so I want her to know I'm here. "What's your name?" I ask politely. "Eleanor.." She almost whispers. "Last jumper Eleanor!" I shout. "Go stand in line please." She does and I continue. "You will have another instructor Four. Girls don't try to get with him, me and Four are getting married in a few months. I show my ring and Zeke whoops. I stifle a laugh. "Four is sick so it's just me today. Welcome to Dauntless."
