Tobias POV.

Why does Evelyn have to be this way? I mean I am her son.. If she wants me be to happy why is she trying to take everything I care about away from me! I think as I pace in my cell. I notice  Tris to my right slumped against her cell with her hand on the glass. I go and sit beside her and match my hand to hers, she doesn't deserve this... she's been through so much and now this? She should be liberated because she's hurt but knowing my mother she won't have a heart if it's something that doesn't benefit her in some way.
"I love you." She says while looking down. "I love you too." I say. Her hand slips down and she puts her face in both of her hands and starts to cry. I would comfort her but I can't.
"I'm so sorry Tris, you don't deserve this." She sniffles and looks up as tears and blood run down her cheek.
"Tris... your eye." I say touching the glass again. She wipes her tears away revealing blood on her hand. She sighs as if it doesn't concern her anymore after all that's been done. I get up from the floor and tap the glass on the entrance to my cell. "Hey!" I say and a guard turns around.
"Tris' eye is bleeding can you fix it?" He look to the other guard then nods. They yank Tris off the floor and she gasps from pain. "Be gentle!" I scream. They shuffle her down the hall and then I sit down.

Tris POV.

Two guards enter my cell and yank me off the floor, I feel an excruciating pain making me gasp. They spin me around and charge out the door as I hear Tobias yell "be gentle!"
After a series of hallways and turns we enter a room with a table,
"What? You're going to kill me already? Don't want to hear what I have to say at least" I say with sarcasm. The one guard sighs and guides me to the table.
"Your eye is scratched we are going to put drops in. We have to strap you to the table so you can't escape, then you'll be heading back to your cell." He says. "You'll be able to keep the drops afterwards, put some in twice a day, once in the morning, once at night." I nod and he lays me down. The opposite guard stretches my eyelids apart as I feel a cold, cold liquid hit my pupil. It burns and I breathe in. They then unstrap me and then take me to an office. Evelyn's.

"Now you're probably wondering why I am so set out to kill you Ms. Prior. You see I love my son, Tobias. And if that means I kill you, even if he loves you to get him to obey me and stay by my side... that's just exactly what I'll do." She says with her hands folded in her desk. "How do you not notice?" I start shaking my head "Taking something that Tobias loves will only push him further. And besides, when Jeanine almost executed me but Tobias saw me wake up, he said the exact words you die I die too. To me," I say looking at her.
"Is that right? Well Tris you see I am very positive that he'll move on when you won't be coming back to life anytime well... ever again." She's so clueless. All I respond to is by laughing a little. "Man Evelyn, you are one of the most oblivious people I know." I say smiling. "Are you just messing with me or do you seriously not understand anything at all that I am saying?!" I almost exclaim. "I know my son better than you do Tris."
"You know the Abnegation Tobias, but he's grown out of that skin and he's become someone so much different than that, that I don't think you know him at all." I say shaking my head. I wait as Evelyn think of her response. All she comes up with is
"We don't have an execution date but I'll try to get one as soon as possible, take her back to her cell please." She folds her hand on her laps and spins her chair to face the window behind her. Pathetic.

Tobias POV.

It's been about half an hour or so when I hear clunky footsteps hitting the Erudite floor. They literally throw Tris into her cell and she screams in pain.
"Tris are you okay?" I say going up to the glass. She clutched her stomach, as she grits her teeth. They ripped her stitches.. "Tris we need to-" I'm cut off by her crying. I feel my stomach drop to see her this way, she cries like a child would after falling down on cement concrete and scraping her hand. "Tris..." I put my hand to the glass. "Tobias?" She speaks up.
"What is it love?"
"I am starting to think that I really am going to die.. There's no Peter here to inject me with the stuff that saved me that time. We have no weapons. And we are locked up very securely." She says slumping against the opposite wall from the glass. "Evelyn won't believe anything I say.." I look down. I stand up and tap the glass on the door to my cell and the guard turns around. "Can I speak to my mother?" I ask.
